7.2 Display
This section explains how to change the display settings.
The settings are:
• Language
• Display brightness
• Keyboard brightness
• Display contrast
• Distance unit
7.2.1 Language
The following national languages are available in the digital
tachograph EFAS:
*) Only available in device option with additional language support.
The language which is used for the digital tachograph
display depends on the tachograph card which is in-serted
in the left-hand card slot.The language is automatically set
upon card insertion or withdrawal. However you can select
the language manually.
Note
When a tachograph card is inserted or withdrawn, the language
is automatically changed to the language stored on the card to
enable data inputs in a known language by the card owner.

Setting the Language (manually)
1. Select OK → Settings → 
Display → Language
The current language is displayed.
2. Use cursor keys and to select the required
lan
guage. Press
OK.
The new language is stored.
Note
The display language can also be set to English by pressing for
at least 5 seconds if one of the screens „Driving times of driver 1
or 2“ or „UTC time“ is displayed (refer to "Display and Controls"
on page 14).
