ASSEMBLING THE BLOWER TUBE WARNING: To prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack from the tool when assembling parts. 1. Align either of the grooves in the tube with the knob on the blower housing. Push the tube onto the blower housing until the knob engages the grooves (Fig. 1&2). 1 Tube 2. DESCRIPTION KNOW YOUR BLOWER (Fig. 4) The safe use of this product requires and understanding of the information on the tool and in this instruction manual as well as knowledge of the project you are attempting. Before use of this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules.
OPERATION WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with this product to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury. WARNING: Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1, along with hearing protection. Failure to do so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes and other possible serious injuries. WARNING: Do not use any attachments or accessories not recommended by the manufacturer of this product.
TO INSTALL/REMOVE BATTERY PACK (Fig. 5) Charge before first use. WARNING: Always remove battery pack from the product when you are assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, or when not in use. Removing battery pack will prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury. To install Align the ribs of the battery pack with the mounting slots in the blower’s battery port. Press the battery pack down until it snaps into position.
STARTING/STOPPING THE BLOWER (Fig. 6) To start the blower, press down on the lock-off lever and hold it, then depress the trigger. The blower will begin to run. To stop the blower, release the trigger. OPERATING THE BLOWER To keep from scattering debris, blow around the outer edges of a debris pile. Never blow directly into the center of a pile. To reduce sound levels, limit the number of pieces of equipment used at any one time. Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris before blowing. In dusty conditions, slightly dampen surfaces when water is available.
MAINTENANCE WARNING: When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. To ensure safety and reliability, all repairs should be performed by a qualified service technician. WARNING: To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack from the product when cleaning or performing any maintenance. GENERAL MAINTENANCE Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts.
TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM Blower doesn’t work. The air velocity decreases obviously. CAUSE SOLUTION The battery pack is not attached to the blower. Attach the battery pack to the blower. No electrical contact between the blower and battery Remove battery, check contacts and reinstall the battery pack. The battery pack is depleted. Charge the battery pack. The battery pack or blower is too hot.

F or best results, your battery should be charged in a location where the temperature is greater than 32°F (0° C) and less that 104°F (40° C). Do not store it outside or in vehicles. Under extreme usage or temperature conditions, battery leakage may occur. If liquid comes in contact with your skin, wash immediately with soap and water, then neutralize with lemon juice or vinegar.

This manual contains important information on to the safe assembly, operation and maintainance of your battery pack. Read it carefully before using the battery pack.
DESCRIPTION KNOW YOUR LITHIUM-ION BATTERY PACK (Fig. 1) 1 Cooling Air Port Battery Contacts Power Indicator OPERATION POWER INDICATOR ON BATTERY PACK This lithium-ion battery pack is equipped with a power indicator, which indicates the charge capacity level of the battery pack. Press the power indicator to display the charge level. The LED indicator will shine for 10 seconds. The green light indicates that the battery pack is over 15% of its charge capacity.
BATTERY PROTECTION The battery circuitry protects the battery pack from extreme temperature, overdischarge, and over-charge. To protect the battery from damage and prolong its life, the battery pack circuitry will turn off the battery pack if it becomes overloaded or if the temperature becomes too high during use. This may happen in extremely high torque, binding, and stalling situations.
HOW TO CHARGE THE BATTERY PACK Follow the instructions in the Operator’s Manual for the EGO CH5500 Rapid Charger or CH2100 Standard Charger. TO ATTACH AND DETACH THE BATTERY PACK Follow the instructions in the Operator’s Manual for the individual EGO product. MAINTENANCE WARNING: To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack from the tool when cleaning or performing any maintenance. WARNING: When servicing, use only identical EGO replacement parts.
BATTERIES The battery pack is equipped with Lithium-Ion rechargeable batteries. The duration of use from each charge will depend on the type of work performed. The batteries in this tool have been designed to provide maximum trouble-free life. Like all batteries, they will eventually wear out. Do not disassemble the battery pack or attempt to replace the batteries. Handling of the batteries, especially when wearing rings and jewelry could result in a serious burn.

Si le liquide entre en contact avec votre peau, lavez-la immédiatement avec du savon et de l’eau, puis neutralisez-la à l’aide de jus de citron ou de vinaigre.

DESCRIPTION DESCRIPTION DU BLOC-PILE AU LITHIUM-ION (Fig. 1) 1 Arrivée d’air de refroidissement Contacts du bloc-pile Indicateur de mise en marche FONCTIONNEMENT INDICATEUR DE MISE EN MARCHE DU BLOC-PILE Ce bloc-pile est muni d’un indicateur de mise en marche, qui indique le niveau de la capacité de charge du bloc-pile. Appuyez sur l’indicateur de mise en marche pour afficher le niveau de charge. L’indicateur à DEL s’allumera pendant 10 secondes.
PROTECTION DU BLOC-PILE Les circuits du bloc-pile le protègent des températures extrêmes, d’une décharge excessive et d’une surcharge. En cas de surcharge ou si la température devient trop élevée en cours d’utilisation, les circuits du bloc-pile empêcheront le bloc-pile de fonctionner pour éviter qu’il subisse des dommages et pour prolonger sa durée de vie. Cette situation peut se produire lorsque le couple est extrêmement élevé ou bien en cas de grippage ou de blocage.
CHARGE DU BLOC-PILE Suivez les instructions qui se trouvent dans le guide d’utilisation du chargeur rapide CH5500 ou du chargeur standard CH2100 d’EGO. FIXATION ET RETRAIT DU BLOC-PILE Suivez les instructions qui se trouvent dans le guide d’utilisation de chaque produit EGO. ENTRETIEN AVERTISSEMENT : Pour éviter des blessures graves, retirez toujours le blocpile avant de procéder à l’entretien ou au nettoyage de l’outil.
Ne démontez pas le bloc-pile et ne tentez pas de remplacer les piles. Si vous touchez les piles, surtout si vous portez des bagues et des bijoux, vous pourriez subir de graves brûlures. Pour prolonger le plus possible la durée de vie du bloc-pile, assurez-vous de lire et de comprendre les instructions qui se trouvent dans le guide d’utilisation. Il est bon de débrancher le chargeur et de retirer le bloc-pile au lithium-ion lorsque vous ne l’utilisez pas.

DESCRIPCIÓN CONOZCA SU PAQUETE DE BATERÍAS DE ION DE LITIO (Fig. 1) 1 Puerto de aire de refrigeración Contactos de batería Indicador de encendido OPERACIÓN INDICADOR DE ENCENDIDO EN EL PAQUETE DE BATERÍAS Este paquete de baterías de iones de litio está equipado con un indicador de encendido que le indica el nivel de capacidad de carga del paquete de baterías. Presione el indicador de encendido para visualizar el nivel de carga. El indicador LED se iluminará durante 10 segundos.
PROTECCIÓN DE LA BATERÍA Los circuitos de la batería protegen al paquete de baterías de temperaturas extremas, descargas y cargas excesivas. Para proteger a la batería de daños y prolongar su vida útil, los circuitos del paquete de baterías lo apagarán si se sobrecarga o si la temperatura se vuelve muy alta durante su uso. Mounting Slot: guides the battery pack when it is installed on the charger. Wall Mounting Hole: for convenient storage on the wall. WARNING: The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the information on the tool and in this operator’s manual, as well as knowledge of the project you are attempting.
OPERATION HOW TO CHARGE THE BATTERY PACK WARNING: Do not use the charger outdoors or expose it to wet or damp conditions. Water entering the charger will increase the risk of electric shock. NOTICE: Lithium-Ion battery packs are shipped partially charged. Before using it the first time, fully charge the battery pack. 1. Connect the charger to the power supply (120V~, 60Hz). 2.
FUll charge NOTICE: A significantly reduced run time after fully charging the battery pack indicates that the batteries are near the end of their usable life and must be replaced. The hIgh charger may warm during charging. This is part of the normal operation of the teMP charger. Charge in a well-ventilated area.
CHARGING A HOT OR COLD BATTERY PACK If the battery pack is out of the normal temperature range, the red LED will shine and the green LED will go off. When the battery pack cools down to approximately 135°F (57°C) or warms to more than 37°F (3°C), the charger will automatically begin charging. DEFECTIVE BATTERY PACK OR CHARGER If the charger detects a problem, the red LED will begin flashing and the green LED will go off. 1. If registering as defective, remove and reinsert the battery pack in the charger.
MAINTENANCE WARNING: To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack from the tool when cleaning or performing any maintenance. WARNING: When servicing, use only identical EGO replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. WARNING: It is not recommended to use compressed dry air as cleaning method of the charger.
TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION Charger doesn’t work. The red LED flashes red or all the LEDs go out. Battery pack or charger is defective or bad connection between the battery pack and charger. 1. Try to remove and reinsert the battery pack in the charger. 2. Try charging a different battery pack. 3. Unplug the charger and wait until the red LED goes out, then reconnect the plug to the power supply. Charger doesn’t work and red LED shines red. Battery pack is too hot or too cold.
