Removing The Blade

WARNING

Always protect your hands by wearing heavy gloves or wrapping the cutting edges

with rags or other materials when performing any maintenance on the mower blade. Always remove the

battery pack when servicing or transporting the mower.

NOTICE:

The following tools are required for replacing the blade: 9/16” (14mm) wrench, torque wrench,

manual screwdriver or metal rod with a diameter of 5/16” (8mm), and manual screwdriver or metal rod

with a diameter 1/4”(6.35mm) or less.

1. Stop the motor; remove the battery pack from the mower.

2. Turn the mower on its side.

3. While wearing protective gloves, place a metal rod (e.g., a 3.5” length screw bit) with diameter less

than 5/16” (8mm) into the ﬁxing hole to act as a stabilizer (Fig. 1).

4. Use a 9/16 inch (14mm) wrench to turn the blade bolt counterclockwise to loosen it.

NOTICE:

If the bolt rotates with the motor shaft when loosening the bolt, turn the fan by hand to align the

through holes in the fan with the holes in the blade, and place another metal rod (e.g., a 3.5” length screw

bit) with diameter less than 1/4 inch (6.35mm) into the aligned holes to act as another stabilizer (Fig. 2).

5. Continue using the 9/16 inch (14mm) wrench to turn the blade bolt counterclockwise to loosen it

completely.

6. While wearing protective gloves, remove the bolt, outer ﬂange and the blade (Fig. 3).

Installing The Blade

Retrait De La Lame

AVERTISSEMENT

Protégez-vous toujours les mains en portant des gants épais ou en recouvrant

les bords coupants à l’aide de chiffons ou d’autres matériaux lorsque vous effectuez des opérations

d’entretien de la lame de la tondeuse. Éliminez l’accumulation de brins d’herbe et de feuilles sur l’arbre

d’entraînement (uniquement sur la LM2100SP) et le ventilateur du moteur, ou autour de ceux-ci (évitez

d’utiliser de l’eau). Utilisez un linge humide pour nettoyer la tondeuse.

AVIS : Vous aurez besoin des outils suivants pour remplacer la lame :clé de 14 mm (9/16 po), clé

dynamométrique et deux tournevis manuels ou deux tiges de métal d’un diamètre maximal de 8 mm (5/16

po) et de 6,35 mm (1/4 po).

1. Arrêtez le moteur et retirez la clé de sécurité ainsi que le bloc-pile de la tondeuse.

2. Couchez la tondeuse sur son côté.

3. En portant des gants protecteurs, placez une tige en métal (par exemple, un tournevis manuel) d’un

diamètre maximal de 8 mm (5/16 po) dans le trou de ﬁxation pour stabiliser la lame (Fig. 1).

4. Utilisez une clé de 14 mm (9/16 po) pour faire tourner le boulon de la lame dans le sens contraire

des aiguilles d’une montre aﬁn de le desserrer.

AVIS :

Si le boulon tourne avec l’axe du moteur lorsque vous le desserrez, tournez le ventilateur à la main

de façon à aligner ses trous débouchants avec les trous de la lame, puis placez une autre tige de métal

(par exemple, un embout de vissage de 88,9 mm [3,5 po] de long) d’un diamètre maximal de 6,35 mm

(1/4 po) dans les trous alignés aﬁn de le stabiliser (Fig. 2).

5. Continuez à faire tourner le boulon de la lame dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre à

l’aide de la clé de 14 mm (9/16 po) aﬁn de le desserrer complètement.

6. En portant des gants protecteurs, retirez le boulon, le collet extérieur et la lame (Fig. 3).

Installation De La Lame

AVERTISSEMENT

d’entretien de la lame de la tondeuse. Retirez toujours la clé de sécurité et le bloc-pile lorsque vous

procédez à l’entretien de la tondeuse ou que vous la transportez.

NOTICE:

To re-install or replace the blade, be sure to replace the parts in the exact order in which they

were removed (Fig. 3).

1. Mount the inner ﬂange to the fan (Fig. 4).

2. Mount the fan and the inner ﬂange onto the motor shaft with the fan blade towards the deck (Fig. 5).

3. While wearing protective gloves, position the blade on the inner ﬂange with the surface stating “THIS

SIDE FACING GRASS” facing toward the outside (Fig. 6).

4. Align the outer ﬂange with the shaft and assemble it in place.

5. Mount the bolt into the shaft and turn it clockwise by hand to pre-tighten it.

6. While still wearing protective gloves, hold the blade with one hand and turn the fan with the other

hand to align the holes in the blade with the through holes in the inner ﬂange (Fig. 7).

7. Place a metal rod (e.g., a 3.5” length screw bit) with diameter less than 1/4 inch (6.35mm) into

the aligned holes to act as a stabilizer. Place another metal rod (e.g., a 3.5” length screw bit) with

diameter less than 5/16” (8mm) into the ﬁxing hole to act as another stabilizer (Fig. 8).

8. Use a 9/16 inch (14mm) torque wrench (not included) to tighten the bolt clockwise. The

recommended torque for the blade bolt is 36-43 ft-lb (49-59Nm).
