EGSTON Open Frame switch-mode power supplies
Prior to commissioning of the device, the operating instructions should be read carefully and the safety information should be
heeded
Safety information
Danger of electric shock! All models should only be installed by qualified specialist staff in accordance
with applicable regional conditions! The manufacturer is responsible for the protection of users and
specialist personnel.
An internal fuse protects the device and must not be replaced by the user. Switch off the power supply
immediately in the event of malfunction or damage.
It is the responsibility of the manufacturer to operate the switch-mode power supply according to the
limit values given in the EGSTON specification.
If provided, the earth connection for the switch-mode power supply must be connected to the protective
earth of the building wiring.
Installation
These products are intended for use in plants that have access that is restricted to specialist personnel.
Touching the components can cause an electric shock! Prior to commencing installation work,
disconnect the system from the power supply. Please ensure that it cannot be switched on again
accidentally.
Insulation distances are to be maintained on all sides of the device. The required insulation distances
can be found in the Egston specification.
Connection of the device must only be carried out using output connectors specified by Egston. (See
Egston specification). The switch-mode power supply must be connected to the mains using a max. 16
A fuse.
When fitting the Open Frame printed circuit board using screws, please refer to the Egston specification
with regard to sizes.

Maintenance
This product cannot be maintained by the customer. Only EGSTON and its approved distributors are
authorised to carry out repairs.
