Location Tab
The ‘Location’ tab contains information on your ISDN switch type and telephone numbers.
Use the table below as a guideline for setting these parameters.
Parameter Description
Switch Type Specifies the ISDN switch type used by your ISDN service provider.
Your choices are Europe (EuroISDN), Australia (MicroLink), Australia (OnRamp),
Japan (INS-Net64), China ISDN, and Singapore ISDN. Default: Europe (EuroISDN).
Use 2
Numbers
Activates the ‘2nd Number tab. Use the second number tab if your ISDN
provider assigns two numbers.
Telephone
Number
(1st Number/
2nd Number)
Specifies your Directory Numbers. If your line supports Multiple Subscriber
Numbers (MSNs), the DIVAT/A handles
incoming
calls differently, depending
on what you enter in the Telephone Number fields.
If you do not specify a number in either the ‘1st Number’ or ‘2nd Number
fields, all ports (PHONE 1, PHONE 2, and ISDN) answer both directory
numbers.
If you specify a number in the ‘1st Number’ field but leave the ‘2nd Number
field empty, all ports (PHONE 1, PHONE 2, and ISDN) answer only calls to the
specified number.
If you specify one number in the ‘1st Number’ field, and a different number in
the ‘2nd Number’ field, PHONE 1 answers only calls to the first number;
PHONE 2 answers only calls to the second number; and the ISDN port answer
calls to either the 1st or 2nd number.
DTE Address This field only applies if AO/DI supported by your ISDN service provider and if
‘Enable Always On / Dynamic ISDN’ is enabled (see page 62
).
An X.25 DTE Address identifies a node on an X.25 network. The address is a
series of one to fifteen digits. Every X.25 node has an X.25 address.
Your service provider assigns this value at subscription time.
