Configure the following parameters as required:
Parameter Description
Number /
Feature
Association
Choosing this option will bring up the Number / Feature Association menu. This
menu allows you to choose which ports will respond to which ISDN numbers.
For example, if you have phone ports on your DIVA T/A, you may want to
designate calls dialed to directory number 1 to be answered by phone port 1,
and calls dialed to ISDN number 2 to be answered by phone port 2.
Enable DBA
(Dynamic
Bandwidth
Allocation)
This option only applies if your ISDN connection protocol is set to ‘Multilink PPP’.
Note:
Only available on models equipped with analog device ports.
When activated, this function lets you initiate or receive telephone calls on your
regular (non-ISDN) telephone without interrupting your current connection. It
releases one B-channel, as required for analog device calls, without interrupting
the data link. After you hang up, the B-channel is automatically brought back up
for your current connection.
Default: ‘DBAenabled.
Enable
BACP/BOD
(Bandwidth
Allocation
Control
Protocol /
Bandwidth
on Demand)
This option only applies if your ISDN connection protocol is set to ‘Multilink PPP’.
‘BACP/BOD’ activates the DIVA T/A's automatic traffic monitor for multilink PPP
Connections. When activated, this function monitors the send-and-receive traffic
volume, and opens or closes your second B-channel as the traffic volume
warrants. Activate this function to ensure that two B-channels are never active
when one is sufficient, thus reducing the chargeable time payable (see next
option) to your ISDN provider.
Note:
Be sure to activate the ‘Cost Reduction Timersto avoid numerous first
interval charges. If you select ‘BACP/BOD, but do not set the ‘Cost Reduction
Timers’, you could incur unnecessary expense as your second B-channel might
open and close frequently, costing you the first-interval amount each time the
second B-channel connects.
Default: ‘BACP/BOD’ disabled.
