It is essential that door should be sealed with a suitable base sealer on both faces and four edges and any cutouts
immediately. It is of utmost importance that both ends are completely sealed, as this is where moisture can most easily
penetrate the timber.
Moisture may cause swelling, splitting or warping.
HANGING
Prior to hanging this door, inspect for damages and do not proceed to fit the door if any noticeable damage or defect
is evident.
Be sure all jambs and stops are set perfectly square and plumb.
This door has a trimming allowance of 1/4-in. at each side and 1-in. at the bottom rail. All surfaces must be properly
sealed immediately after trimming. There is NO TRIMMING ALLOWANCE for the BIFOLD DOOR models.
Holes and drillings should not be at the rail and stile joints as this will result in a weakening of the joint and/or stile.
BIFOLD DOORS: The installation guide is available in the hardware package that came with the door or may be
downloaded from:

BARN/SLIDING DOORS: The hardware installation must be done according to the hardware manufacturer
instructions.
FACTORY PRIMED & READY TO PAINT
Sand the entire door lightly using a #220 or higher grit number sand paper. Thoroughly remove all dust with a tack
cloth prior to applying finish. DO NOT USE compressed air to blow off dust of door as moisture in air will cause water
spotting.
