Problem Possible cause and remedy

• Checkwhetherthereareanywaterdropletsorforeign
objectsontheswitchsurface.Gentlywipetheswitch
surfaceandtryoperatingtheswitchesagainwithdry
hands.
• Areyouwearinggloves?Ifso,removetheglovesandtry
operatingtheswitchesagainwithdryhands.
4.  (When using Presence Sensor) 
The images remain to be displayed when 
you move away from the monitor. / The 
images do not reappear when you come 
near it.
• Checkthesettingenvironmentofthemonitor.Presence
Sensormaynotworkcorrectlyinthefollowing
environments.
- Themonitorislocatedinaplaceaffectedbywind.
- Thereissomeheatemittingdevicenearthemonitor.
- Thereissomeobstacleinfrontofthesensor.
• Checkwhetheranydirtonthesensor.Cleanthesensor
withasoftcloth.
• Checkwhetheryouareinfrontofthemonitor.The
PresenceSensorfunctionisactivatedwhenthesensoron
thefrontofthemonitordetectsthemovementofheat.
• Inthehightemperatureconditions,themonitormaynot
recoverfromthepowersavingmode.Ifthescreenisnot
displayedevenaftermovingthemouseorpressingany
keyonthekeyboard,turnthemonitoroffandonusingits
powerbutton.Whenthescreenisdisplayed,increasethe
detectionsensitivityvalue(see“5-3.Settingthepower
savingmodewhenapersonleavesthemonitor”(page22)).
5.  The monitor connected with the USB cable 
is not detected. / USB devices connected 
to the monitor does not work.
• CheckwhethertheUSBcableisconnectedcorrectly(see
“7-4.MakingUseofUSB(UniversalSerialBus)”(page31)).
• ChangetheUSBporttoanotherone.IfthePCor
peripheraldevicesworkscorrectlybychangingtheUSB
port,contactyourlocalEIZOrepresentative.(Refertothe
manualofthePCfordetails.)
• RebootthePC.
• IftheperipheraldevicesworkcorrectlywhenthePCand
peripheraldevicesareconnecteddirectly,pleasecontact
yourlocalEIZOrepresentative.
• CheckwhetherthePCandOSareUSBcompliant.(For
USBcomplianceoftherespectivedevices,consulttheir
manufacturers.)
• CheckthePC’sBIOSsettingforUSBwhenusing
Windows.(RefertothemanualofthePCfordetails.)
