Ekena Millwork® Flex Trim Millwork General Information & Limited Lifetime Warranty
Before you use or install any Ekena products, please review the information below. Ekena flex trim products:
ALWAYS lay out the material to let it relax back into its original shape; this is a good time to double-check
molding style and application.
NEVER pre-finish the material prior to installation. The material may flex during installation and cause fractures
in the finish.
ALWAYS make certain that the surface you are applying the material to is flat and smooth.
Flexible molding will follow any irregularities in the surface.
NEVER use staples or nails with large heads. Keep nails to a minimum and away from edges to avoid "bumps"
at the edge.
ALWAYS use a construction adhesive in conjunction with (or in lieu of) nails or screws. This will ensure a quick
and easy application and a cleaner finished look.
Exterior products must be finished after painting or staining with an exterior grade topcoat.
Ekena Millwork Flex Trim Millwork Limited Lifetime Warranty
Ekena Millwork warrants that for the “lifetime” ownership, the flex trim moulding is free from defects in material
and workmanship. “Lifetime” means as long as the original purchaser owns the structure to which the flex
moulding has been properly installed. Ekena Millwork will repair or replace at its option any Ekena flex moulding
product that has failed as a result of defective material and workmanship. This remedy is the purchaser’s
exclusive remedy for breach of warranty hereunder.
THE FOREGOING WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING
BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
At no time, will Ekena Millwork be liable for more the original price of the moulding, nor will Ekena Millwork be
liable for any special, incidental or consequential damages based upon breach of warranty, breach of contract,
loss of profits, loss of savings or revenue, loss of use, the claims of third parties and injury to property. Some
states do not allow limits on warranties or on remedies for breach in certain transactions. In such states, the
limits in this paragraph and the preceding paragraph may not apply.
If a defect is discovered in an Ekena flex trim product and the above conditions have been met, the customer
should notify us in writing within thirty (30) days of discovering the said defect. The customer may be required to
return the product to Ekena Millwork for evaluation. Ekena will then review the product and installation methods,
and determine if replacement, repair, or refund is appropriate. This warranty does not cover or include labor,
transportation costs, or any other expenses incurred in connection with the purchase, use, or installation of the
item(s). Replacements, repairs, or refunds are the only options under this limited warranty.
It shall remain the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the moulding purchased is designed for their particular
installation. This limited warranty does not cover damage from the result of mishandling in transportation, acts of
God, customer modifications, vandalism, misuse, abuse, improper maintenance, unreasonable care, or other
causes that did not arise from manufacturer defects in workmanship and/or materials. No person, retailer, sales
rep, dealer, service facility, or entity of any type is authorized to change, modify, or amend the terms of this
limited warranty in any manner. Ekena shall not be liable to the customer or to any other entity for any incidental
or consequential damages or loss of profit from any defect in any items.
