IMPORTANT INFO

• It is highly recommended that you paint/nish our brackets before installation.

• Once installed, you can apply any necessary touch‐up paint/nish.

• Clean installation surface and bracket of all dirt and dust with a clean cloth or dry sponge.

• Measure and mark the location where the bracket is going to be installed.

• All PVC brackets are decorative only and for some models the legs (bracket extensions)

are built as solid hollow channels to slip over wood blocking strips for easy installation.

• Wood blocking strips should t snugly into the back of bracket.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Make sure to use the correct tools recommended.

Wear safety goggles.

Follow xture, power tools, and paint manufacturers’ instructions and users manuals.

Use common sense and follow good construction practices.

Brackets & outlookers are not load‐ bearing, decorative use only.

Hollow Bracket/Outlooker

1. Attach wood blocks to surface with screws.

2. The top and back pieces of bracket will easily “slip” over wood

blocking strips.

3. Screw through side of bracket into wood blocks to properly

secure.

4. Use caulk to seal edges of bracket against surface after

installation.

5. Fill in any holes with caulk and smooth the surface with nger.

6. Let caulk dry. Once dry, lightly sand with extra ne sandpaper.

7. Touchup bracket with paint as needed.

SIDING/PLYWOOD

LAG SCREWS & WASHERS

Solid Bracket/Outlooker

1. Mark placement of screw holes using a pencil or maker.

2. Drill a pilot the hold using a the proper sized drill bit for you lag

screw.

3. If you wish to countersink the screws, use the countersink bit

to drill a hole deep enough to hide the head of the screw.

4. Using the pilot hole fasten the bracket to the surface making

sure that the screws lock into a post or beam.

5. Fill in the screw holes with caulk. Let caulk dry and lightly

sand with extra ne sandpaper.

6. Touchup with paint as needed.

ARCHITECTURAL PVC FAQS What is PVC? Each piece of Cellular PVC is made of stable high-density PVC that won't rot, split or chip, and doesn’t absorb water. PVC has a closed cell nature, so water cannot penetrate the product and it resists all forms of insect infestations, mold and mildew. What types of special skills are needed to install PVC products? None. If you can install wood products, you can easily install PVC products. They can be nailed, cut and sanded just like wood products.

ARCHITECTURAL PVC FAQS What paint can I use on PVC? If you choose to paint, use 100% acrylic latex paint with an LRV of 55 or higher. Definition of LRV (Light Reflective Value): LRV is the amount of light reflected from a painted surface. Black has a reflectance value of Zero (0) and absorbs all light and heat. White has a reflectance value of nearly 100 and keeps a building light and cool. All colors fit between these two extremes. Light Reflective Values are given as a percentage.
