aroundthemeetingpointoftheceilingandlightingfixture.Theselargedisk‐shapedplaquesshouldhavea
proportionatesizetoyourroomandthelightingfixturebeneath.Elegantorsimple,choose
yourceiling
medallionsizebestsuitedforyourspace.Usesomebasicguidelinestosteeryoutowardchoosingthebest
ceilingmedallionforyourroom.
1. Measurethelengthandwidthofyourroominfeet.
2. Multiplythelengthandwidthtogetheranddividetheanswerby"7"todetermineaproportionate
ceilingmedalliondiametersizeininches.
Fora10‐by‐14footroom,forexample,yourcalculationwouldbe:

140/7=20inches

3. Measuretheheightofyourceilinginfeet.Usethediameterfortheceilingmedallioncalculated
basedonroomwidthandlengthifyourceilingstandsbetween9and10feettall.Optforaslightly
smallermedallionforshorterceilings.
4. Measurethediameterofthelightingfixturebelowtheceilingmedallionininches.Lookforaceiling
medallionclosetothissizeininchesifitcloselymatchestheestimatedsizefromtheroom
calculations.
