Functions Clock: Memory function will record the time of measurement to help recognize individual measurements. (12/24 format for hour, minute & date available) • See “Clock setting” section for set-up of time when first used. Room temperature: A suitable room temperature is important for adults and babies. The thermometer recognizes the room temperature. • See “Clock setting” to enable this function. When turned off, thermometer shows the room temperature with icon.
Clock setting 1. To start – press the ON/MEM button. You will hear two beep sounds. The thermometer is ready for use. 2. Press and hold the ON/MEM button for 5 seconds. The ”Set” icon flashes which indicates that you are in setting mode. 3. Press the scan button and the “24” icon flashes. This indicates that you are in the 12/24 - hour setting mode. 4. Press the SCAN button if you want to change from the 24 hour cycle to the 12 hour cycle. 5.
Taking the temperature in SCAN mode: • While the thermometer is on, press and hold the ON/MEM button and at the same time press the SCAN button once. The icon shows in the display. • Hold the probe to the object and press the SCAN button to update the actual temperature. This mode can be used to measure water, milk, cloth, skin etc. Note: This mode gives the surface temperature which is different from the body temperature.
Battery replacement When the battery icon in the display flashes, the battery should be replaced. • To open the battery cover: Insert a pointed object, such as a pin, into the battery pick hole. At the same time push the battery cover backwards. • Flip out the battery with a small screwdriver. • Insert the new battery under the metal hook on the left side and press the right side of the battery down until it clicks into place. • Replace the battery cover.
