7 SUBWOOFER LEVEL
The relative level of the subwoofer is adjusted by this control; it does not
influence the level of the satellites.
The adjustment should balance the bass with the mid/high frequencies
from the satellites.
Generally the subwoofer level should be adjusted so that it does not
dominate. Too much bass will quickly muddy up the sound, clarity is lost.
Once you found a good sounding balance, stay with it.
8 MASTER VOLUME
This is the control for volume of the complete subwoofer/satellite system.
All components are influenced by the same amount.
9 CROSSOVER FREQUENCY
This switch allows adjustment of the upper limit of the frequency range
that is reproduced by the subwoofer.
Three settings can be chosen: 60 Hz, 120 Hz or 180 Hz.
Signals above this frequency are increasingly attenuated (filtered) from
the subwoofers output. They are already reproduced by another speaker
(satellite).
The best adjustment of this frequency limit depends on the type of satel-
lite speakers, their and the subwoofers placement and your personal lis-
tening preferences.
This crossover adjustment switch does not influence the filtering of the
satellites. Their high pass filter is fixed at 80 Hz (electrically).
