With more sources, more zones, more
power and more features than any other
basic multi-room system, the System6 (S6)
is the logical one-box-solution for entry-
level multi-source/multi-zone audio
distribution––from the company that’s
been setting the standard for years.
The S6 is a six-source by six-zone integrated
audio preamp controller and power
amplifier. It allows up to six audio sources
to be accessed independently by up to 12
keypads located in six separate zones.
Keypad RJ-45 jacks on the back of the unit
make installation practically plug n’ play.
And with 12 channels of amplification at
40 watts per channel built right in, the S6
provides the kind of sound quality you’ve
come to expect from ELAN.
The S6 is compatible with all ELAN keypads
and touch panels, and, unlike other basic
multi-zone systems, the S6 sends important
user-feedback to keypads and touch panels
connected to the system, informing the
user as to the Power ON status of Source
Selected, Do-Not-Disturb, Whole-House
Music, System On/Off, Zone On/Off, Mute
and more.
Six source-specific IR output ports allow
multiple same mode sources to be used in
the system without contention. An IR ‘ALL’
port is also provided.
Six Source Status Inputs provide a means
for intelligent power management, while
six Zone Trigger Outputs and two System
Trigger Outputs give you built-in
automation and external amplifier
triggering capabilities.
Expanding the system for more rooms
of audio is made easy with the six Zone
Preamp Outputs. Want to add ELAN
telephone features or video switching?
The S6 interfaces easily with the Z•600
Communications Controller and Z•880
8 x 8 Composite Video Controller.
The S6 provides an entry-level alternative
to ELAN Z•, S12 and HD systems, and is a
practical, yet feature-rich, first-step system
for many consumers.
