ELANTOOLS incorporates a host of new and
innovative features that programmers have been
asking for, including centralized downloading to all
zones at once, quick-loads for fast 1-minute
updates and enhanced graphics setup and quality.
Two new, huge time-saving features are “Auto-
Fill”, which gives the programmer the ability to
associate any device (i.e. a cable box, CD, DVD,
Tuner,Alarm, etc.) to a button,page, or an entire
template. Once this is done, RS-232 and IR
commands will automatically be filled in. Need to
switch out a device? Just re-associate to the new
device and all commands will be switched out
automatically!
The second is “Mirroring”,which allows button
graphics, position and even macro programming of
nearly any button on any touch panel page to be
automatically reproduced – or "mirrored" – to
nearly any other page on the panel, saving tons of
programming and layout time!
Another new feature of ELANTOOLS permits the
quick and easy integration of 3rd party switching
devices. Programmers can now build a “generic”
switching matrix with IR and RS-232 commands
that allow these devices to integrate seamlessly
with ELAN Multi-Room Controllers and be
controlled from ELAN touch panels and touchpads.
ELANTOOLS new VIA!Net Analyzer makes system
troubleshooting a breeze with real-time scanning
and detailed reporting of each device’s
identification, communications and programming
status.
Additionally, ELANTOOLS now makes it easy to
configure up to eight SS1 System Stations and
program up to 32 RS-232 Com Ports for whole-
home control of lighting, climate,pool and spa,
security and much more.
