3. HOW TO PROGRAM THE SYSTEM USING YOUR MOBILE PHONE
NOTE: The system supports a exible management of SMS/text message replies from the
system. This can be congured using ELDES Conguration Tool software.
In order to congure and control the EPIR2 system using SMS/text message, send the text com-
mand to the phone number of EPIR2 from one of the pre-programmed user numbers.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION FOR PROGRAMING VIA YOUR MOBILE PHONE
The underscore symbol ‘_’ in these instructions represents a space. So when following in-
structions and typing an SMS/text message, replace the underscore symbol with a single
space.
Similarly, ‘XXXX’ means password.
Make sure you don’t leave any spaces at the beginning or end of the message.
If you receive the message “wrong syntax” please check your message and try again.

change the default password
to a memorable number. It
must be a four digit number
– anything except four zeros.
Non-numerical characters
such as dots, colons and
spaces are not allowed.
