At the end of installation/adjusting, it is necessary to check if the door of the furniture closes properly. Should adjustment of the furniture door be necessary, use the clearance of slots. Intended use • The appliance is intended for use in the home.
Daily Operation 50mm Place guide (A) on the inside part of the furniture door, in the upper and lower positions as shown in the figure and mark the position of external holes. Having drilled the holes, fix the guide with the screws supplied. • Do not operate any electrical appliances in the refrigerator/freezer (e.g. electric ice cream makers, mixers etc.). • Before cleaning the appliance, always switch off the appliance and disconnect from the electricity supply.
Remove Transport Packaging The appliance and the interior fittings are protected for transport. • Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces from the interior of the appliance. Shelf holders Your appliance is equipped with shelf retainers that make it possible to secure the shelves during transportation. To remove them proceed as follows: Raise the shelf from the back, push it in the direction of the arrow until it is freed and remove the retainers.
Starting Up and Temperature Regulation Instructions for building-in Wash the inside of the appliance with lukewarm water with a little bicarbonate of soda added (5ml to 0,5 litre of water). Do not use soap or detergent as the smell may linger. Dry the appliance thoroughly. • When the refrigerator compartment door is opened, the internal lighting is switched on. The temperature control knob is located on the right hand side of the refrigerator compartment. Setting “0”: Off.
Low Room Temperature Switch When the room temperature is + 16° C or less, the Low Room Temperature Switch, located next to the thermostat control knob, must be switched on to maintain the correct temperatures inside the fridge and freezer compartA ments. Please note that in this setting the interior light will remain on, D710 even if the door is closed. No damage can be caused by leaving the switch in this position for any period of time (see page 15 Low ambient operation).
Fresh Food Refrigeration Positioning This appliance should only be installed at a location where the ambient temperature corresponds to the climate classification indicated on the rating plate, which is located on the inside left of the appliance. The following table shows which ambient temperature is correct for each climate classification.
You can use your freezer for freezing fresh food yourself. Important! • The temperature in the freezer compartment must be –18 °C or colder before freezing food. • Please observe the freezing capacity given on the rating plate. The freezing capacity is the maximum quantity of fresh food that can be frozen within a period of 24 hours. If you wish to freeze food several days in a row, please observe a maximum capacity of only 2/3 to 3/4 of that on the rating plate.
GUARANTEE CONDITIONS Ice Pack Standard guarantee conditions We, AEG, undertake that if within 12 months of the date of the purchase this AEG appliance or any part thereof is proved to be defective by reason only of faulty workmanship or materials, we will, at our discretion repair or replace the same FREE OF CHARGE for labour, materials or carriage on condition that: · The appliance has been correctly installed and used only on the electricity or gas supply stated on the rating plate.
Defrosting 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Refrigerator Frost is automatically removed from the evaporator of the refrigerator compartment every time the motor compressor stops, during normal use. The defrost water drains out through a trough into a special container at the back of the appliance, located over the motor compressor, where it evaporates. Freezer The freezer compartment, however, will become progressively covered with frost.
During a normal night time period of approximately 8 hours a traditional fridge freezer can normally maintain the frozen food temperature but if the appliance is left for longer period in a low ambient temperature the freezer will defrost . If, after carrying out the necessary checks there is still a fault with your appliance please contact your local AEG Service Force Centre.
