Countertop cutout for gas and electric
connections
Mounting the safety bracket
The safety bracket is a device designed to prevent
the appliance from being accidentally extracted to
the outside.
1. Measure the width of the slot for the appliance
(see "Cabinet clearances" - clearance F).
2. Divide the measurement in half and draw the
midline on the surface of the cabinet.
3. Measure 3” (76mm) from the front edge of the
cabinet and draw a line perpendicular to the mid-
line.
4. Position the safety bracket centered with respect
to the intersection point of the two lines just
drawn and then fix it with the two supplied
screws.

CAUTION The countertop must be level and
horizontal. The stability of the countertop must be
maintained after the cut-out has been made.
NOTES:
• The appliance must sit securely in the cut-out and
must not be able to move around (e.g. during
cleaning).
• To help prevent cosmetic damage place plastic
shipping cover back over appliance prior to load-
ing into cabinetry.
• If additional construction is nearby the plastic
shipping cover can be used to preserve cosmetic
finish.
