2 www.electrolux.xom PART- 1. BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE General warnings WARNING: Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in the built-in structure, clear of obstruction. WARNING: Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer. WARNING: Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.
ENGLISH 3 - bed and breakfast type environments; - catering and similar non-retail applications • If the socket does not match the refrigerator plug, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. • A specially grounded plug has been connected to the power cable of your refrigerator. This plug should be used with a specially grounded socket of 16 amperes.
4 www.electrolux.xom Old and out-of-order fridges • If your old fridge has a lock, break or remove the lock before discarding it, because children may get trapped inside it and may cause an accident. • Old fridges and freezers contain isolation material and refrigerant with CFC. Therefore, take care not to harm environment when you are discarding your old fridges. Please ask your municipal authority about the disposal of the WEEE for the reuse, recycle and recovery purposes.
ENGLISH 5 • Do not re-freeze frozen goods after they have melted. This may cause health issues like food poisoning. • Do not cover the body or top of fridge with lace. This affects the performance of your fridge. • Fix the accessories in the fridge during transportation to prevent damage to accessories. Installing and operating your fridge Before starting to use your fridge, you should pay attention to the following points: • Operating voltage for your fridge is 220-240 V at 50Hz.
6 www.electrolux.xom PART- 2. THE VARIOUS FUNCTION AND POSSIBILITIES Information about NO FROST technology No-Frost fridges differ from other static fridges in their operating principle. In normal fridges, the humidity entering the fridge in the door openings and the humidity of the food causes freezing in the freezer compartment.
ENGLISH 7 Refrigerator Thermostat Setting; 1 – 2 : For less coldly conditions. 3 – 4 : For normal conditions. 5 – MAX : For colder conditions. Warnings about Temperature Adjustments • It is not recommended that you operate your fridge in environments colder than 10°C in terms of its efficiency. • Temperature adjustments should be made according to the frequency of door openings and the quantity of food kept inside the fridge. • Do not pass to another adjustment before completing an adjustment.
8 www.electrolux.xom Fast Freezing Shelf • Use the fast freezing shelf to freeze home cooking (and fresh foods which is wanted to freeze) more quickly because of the freezing room’s greater freezing power. • For opening the shelf pull the cover up, and slide it in to the shelf. You can close it in the same way Note that; be sure that the cover of fast freezing shelf is closed before closing the compartment door. If not, it can not show its fast freezing power.
ENGLISH Fresh dial 9 Fresh dial In case of the crisper is totally full, the fresh dial is located in front of crisper, should be opened. By means of this the air in the crisper and humidity rate will be controlled and endurance life will be increased. If you see any condensation on glass shelf, you must open this klape which is on behind of shelf. Visual and text descriptions on the accessories section may vary according to the model of your appliance.

ARRANGING FOOD IN THE APPLIANCE Refrigerator Compartment • To set the refrigerator compartment to 2-3 graphic bar will be enough for normal conditions. • To reduce humidity and consequent increase of frost never place liquids in unsealed containers in the refrigerator. • Never place warm food in the refrigerator. Warm food should be allowed to cool at room temperature and should be arranged to ensure adequate air circulation in the refrigerator compartment.
ENGLISH 11 • Frozen foods should be transported in appopriate containers to maintain the quality of the food and should be returned to the freezing surfaces of the unit in the shortest possible time. • If a package of frozen food shows the sign of humidity and abnormal swelling it is probable that it has been previously stored at an unsuitable temperature and that the contents have deteriorated.
12 www.electrolux.xom Replacing The Refrigerator and Freezer Light Bulb 1. Unplug the unit from the power supply, 2. Remove the refrigerator light cover with a minus screw driver, and take out the cover.(A) 3. Change the present light bulb with a new one of not more than 15 W.(B) 4. Replace the light cover and after waiting 5 minutes plug the unit.
ENGLISH PART- 5. 13 TRANSPORTATION AND CHANGING OF INSTALLATION POSITION Transportation and Changing of Installation Position • The original packages and foamed polystyrene (PS) can be concealed if required. • In transportation the appliance should be tied with a wide stripe or a strong rope. The rules written on the corrugated box must be applied while transporting. • Before transporting or changing old installation position, all the moving objects (i.e.
14 www.electrolux.xom IIf your fridge is operating too loudly; Normal Noises Cracking (Ice cracking) Noise: • During automatic defrosting. • When the appliance is cooled or warmed (due to expansion of appliance material). • Heard when the thermostat switches the compressor on/off. Compressor noise • Normal motor noise. This noise means that the compressor operates normally • Compressor may cause more noise for a short time when it is activated.
ENGLISH 15 Tips for saving energy 1– Install the appliance in a cool, well ventilated room , but not in direct sunlight and not near heat source (radiator, cooker.. etc. ). Otherwise use an insulating plate. 2– Allow warm food and drinks to cool down outside the appliance. 3– W hen thawing frozen food, place it in the refrigerator compartment. The low temperature of the frozen food will help to cool the refrigerator compartment when it is thawing. So it reduces the energy requirements.

20 www.electrolux.xom Istruzioni per la sicurezza • Non utilizzare apparecchi elettrici all’interno del frigorifero. • Se questo apparecchio sostituisce un vecchio frigorifero munito di chiusura, rompere o rimuovere questa chiusura come misura di sicurezza prima di immagazzinare il vecchio apparecchio, per proteggere i bambini che potrebbero rimanervi rinchiusi durante i loro giochi • I vecchi frigoriferi ed i freezer contengono gas isolanti e refrigeranti che devono essere smaltiti adeguatamente.
ITALIA 21 • Le bottiglie contenenti liquidi ad alta percentuale alcolica devono essere chiuse ermeticamente e inserite nel frigorifero in posizione verticale. • Non toccare le superfici refrigeranti, specialmente con le mani bagnate perché vi potreste provocare ustioni o ferite. • Non mangiare il ghiaccio appena tolto dal freezer. Installazione ed accensione dell’apparecchio • Questo apparecchio funziona a 220-240V oppure a 200-230V 50 Hz.

CARATTERISTICHE E FUNZIONI Informazioni sulla tecnologia NO-FROST I frigoriferi no-frost si distinguono dagli altri frigoriferi statici per il principio di funzionamento. Nei normali frigoriferi, l’umidità che entra attraverso le aperture dello sportello e l’umidità sul cibo causano il congelamento del vano congelatore.
ITALIA 23 Impostazione termostato frigorifero; 1 – 2 : Per avere una condizione di minor freddo. 3 – 4 : Per una condizione di freddo normale. 5 – MAX : Per avere una condizione di maggior freddo. • Nota; la temperatura del frigorifero e del freezer sono condizionate dalla temperatura dell’ambiente, dalla temperatura del cibo fresco introdotto negli scomparti e dalla frequenza di apertura della porta. Se necessario, modificare l’impostazione della temperatura.
24 www.electrolux.xom Scomparto surgelamento veloce • Utilizzare lo scomparto surgelamento veloce per surgelare i cibi cotti (e quelli freschi da surgelare) più velocemente con il maggior potere refrigerante dello scomparto per il surgelamento. • Per aprire lo scomparto sollevare lo sportello e farlo scorrere dentro lo scomparto. Lo si può chiudere allo stesso modo. Nota: Assicurarsi che lo sportello dello scomparto surgelamento veloce sia chiuso prima di chiudere la porta del freezer.
ITALIA 25 Ripiano regolabile a scomparsa (In alcuni modelli) FIGURA -1- FIGURA -2- FIGURA -3- Il ripiano regolabile a scomparsa, che si trova sul coperchio del cassetto, è stato progettato per fornire uno spazio maggiore e più comodo per il posizionamento degli oggetti nell’elettrodomestico. Si tratta di un ripiano mobile che permette di sistemare contenitori alti o di grosse dimensioni sul coperchio del cassetto.

CONSERVAZIONE DEL CIBO NELL’ELETTRODOMESTICO Scomparto Frigo • Impostare lo scomparto frigo a 2-3 sarà sufficiente in condizioni normali. • Per ridurre l’umidità ed il conseguente aumento di brina non inserire mai nel frigorifero liquidi in contenitori aperti. • Non inserire mai nel frigorifero cibo caldo. Il cibo ancora caldo deve essere lasciato raffreddare a temperatura ambiente e deve disporre di un’adeguata circolazione d’aria nello scomparto frigo.
ITALIA 27 • I cibi congelati devono essere trasportati in contenitori adatti per conservarne la qualità e devono essere riposti nello scomparto freezer del frigorifero il più presto possibile. • Se l’involucro del cibo congelato mostra segni di umidità o un anomalo rigonfiamento, è probabile che non sia stato precedentemente conservato ad una temperatura adeguata e che il contenuto sia deteriorato.
28 www.electrolux.xom Sostituzione della lampadina Sostituzione della lampadina nel vano frigorifero ( se l'illuminazione è fatta tramite lampadina) 1. staccate la spina di alimentazione. 2. togliete il coperchio di protezione della lampada (A) premendo i ganci posizionati su entrambi i lati del coperchio 3. cambiate la lampadina (B) con una nuova ( non più di 15 watt) 4. riposizionate il coperchio di protezione della lampada al suo posto e reinserite la spina.

TRASPORTO E SPOSTAMENTO DELL’ELETTRODOMESTICO Trasporto e spostamento dell’elettrodomestico • Conservare la confezione e l’imballaggio originale per nuovi futuri spostamenti (opzionale). • Chiudere bene il frigo, tenendolo in posizione, con fasce o cordicelle, quindi attenersi alle istruzioni per il trasporto fornite sulla confezione. • Togliere le parti rimovibili (ripiani, accessori, cassetti verdura, ecc.) o fissarli nel frigo per evitare che subiscano urti.
30 www.electrolux.xom Nel caso in cui il cibo nello scomparto frigorifero sia troppo freddo • La regolazione della temperatura è corretta? • Di recente, sono stati inseriti troppi cibi all’interno dello scomparto freezer? In tal caso, il frigo potrebbe raffreddare eccessivamente il cibo nello scomparto frigo, che raffredderà più a lungo questi cibi. Se il frigo fa troppo rumore: Per mantenere il livello di raffreddamento impostato, è possibile attivare, di volta in volta, il compressore.
ITALIA 31 • Scomparti, ripiani e cassetti sono posizionati in modo corretto? • Le guarnizioni delle porte sono rotte o spezzate? • Il frigorifero è su una superficie piatta? Nel caso in cui i bordi del frigorifero dove sono collegate le giunture della porta siano tiepidi: in particolare d’estate (climi caldi), le superfici di contatto si possono riscaldare durante il funzionamento del compressore. Non si tratta di un’anomalia di funzionamento.
32 www.electrolux.xom Suggerimenti per risparmiare energia 1 – Installare il dispositivo in una stanza fresca, ben ventilata, ma non direttamente esposto alla luce solare e non vicino a fonti di calore (radiatori, fornelli, ecc.). In caso contrario, servirsi di una piastra isolante. 2 – Consentire ai cibi e alle bevande calde di raffreddarsi fuori dal frigorifero. 3 – In fase di scongelamento di alimenti congelati, posizionarli nel comparto frigorifero.
