electrolux 9 USE Cleaning the interior Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the interior and all internal accessories with luke-warm water and some neutral soap so as to remove the typical smell of a brand-new product, then dry thoroughly. Do not use detergents or abrasive powders, as these will damage the finish. electrolux 11 Switching off Clock Function To switch off the appliance remove the mains plug. The Clock function is activated by pressing key B (several times if necessary) until the corresponding Functions Menu By activating the key B the functions menu is operating and the following functions are indicated: • Select on fridge compartment • Select on freezer compartment Clock Function Ambient Temperature Each function must be confirmed by pressing button E.
electrolux Select Temperature selection The temperature may be regulated by pressing the key (B) to select the compartment and than the button C/C to set the desired temperature. The current temperature setting flashes on the indicator. To confirm the choice of the temperature press the key (E). You will hear the buzzer and the indicator displays the newly selected temperature for a few seconds, then shows again the inside compartment temperature.
electrolux 13 Ambient Temperature Function Shopping Function The ambient temperature function is activated by pressing key B (several times if necessary) until the corresponding symbol flashes . In this condition the selected temperature is the ambient temperature. You must confirm the choice by pressing key E within few seconds. You will hear the buzzer and the symbol remains lighted.
electrolux Holiday Function The holiday function allows you to keep the refrigerator empty during a long holiday period ( e. g. the summer holidays) without the formation of a bad smell. The Holiday function is activated by pressing key D (several times if necessary) until the corresponding symbol flashes . You must confirm the choice by pressing key E within few seconds. You will hear the buzzer and the symbol remains lighted.
electrolux 15 Action Freeze function Drinks Chill function The freezer compartment is suitable for long term storage of commercially frozen and deep-frezen food, and for freezing fresh food. The Drinks Chill function is to be used as a safety warning when placing buttles in the freezer compartment. It is activated by pressing key D (several times if necessary) until the The maximum quantity of foods to freeze in 24 hours is shown on the serial number plate.
electrolux Excessive temperature alarm An increase in the temperature in a compartment (for example due to an power failure) is indicated by: • flashing temperature; • flashing of the symbol ; • sounding of buzzer. These are insert on the sides of the upper freezer drawer. Pull out the upper freezer drawer. Extract the ice-tray.
electrolux 17 Movable shelves The walls of the refrigerator are equipped with a series of runners so that the shelves can be positioned as desired. Positioning the door shelves D338 Bottle rack Place bottles in the rack with the bottleneck to the front. Important: Only store unopened bottles horizontally. The bottle rack can be tilted for storing opened bottles. To do this pull the bottle rack forward until it can be tilted upwards, then slide the front support into the next level up.
electrolux Humidity Control The drawer incorporates a device with slits (adjustable by means of a sliding lever),which makes it possible to regulate the temperature in the vegetable drawer(s). The opening in the ventilation slots can be adjusted with the slider. Right slider: Ventilation slots opened. With the ventilation slots open, more air circulation results in a lower air moisture content in the fruit and vegetable compartments. Left slider: Ventilation slots closed.
electrolux 19 HINTS Hints for refrigeration Useful hints: Meat (all types): wrap in polythene bags and place on the glass shelf above the vegetable drawer. • the freezing process takes 24 hours. No further food to be frozen should be added during this period; • only freeze top quality, fresh and thoroughly cleaned, foodstuffs; For safety, store in this way only one or two days at the most.
electrolux Hints for storage of frozen food To obtain the best performance from this appliance, you should: • make sure that the commercially frozen foodstuffs were adequately stored by the retailer; • be sure that frozen foodstuffs are transferred from the foodstore to the freezer in the shortest possible time; • not open the door frequently or leave it open longer than absolutely necessary. • Once defrosted, food deteriorates rapidly and cannot be refrozen.
electrolux 21 Installation of the charcoal filter Changing the charcoal filter On delivery the charcoal filter is placed in a plastic bag to secure the length of life of the charcoal filter. The filter should be placed behind the flap before the appliance is turned on. • Pull the cover outward • The charcoal filter is then mounted in the slot found in the back of the cover. • Close the flap. To maintain the best performance the carbon filter should be changed every year.
electrolux MAINTENANCE Unplug the appliance before carrying out any maintenance operation. Warning of the refrigerator compartment channel to prevent the water overflowing and dripping onto the food inside. Use the special cleaner provided, which you will find already inserted into the drain hole. This appliance contains hydrocarbons in its cooling unit; maintenance and recharging must therefore only be carried out by authorized technicians.

electrolux INSTALLATION Location 100 mm The appliance should be installed well away from sources of heat such as radiators, boilers, direct sunlight etc. Ensure that air can circulate freely around the back of the cabinet. To ensure best performance, if the appliance is positioned below an overhanging wall unit, the minimum distance between the top of the cabinet and the wall unit must be at least 100 mm . Ideally, however, the appliance should not be positioned below overhanging wall units.
electrolux 25 Shelf holders Electrical connection Your appliance is equipped with shelf retainers that make it possible to secure the shelves during transportation. To remove them proceed as follows: Move the shelf holders in the direction of the arrow, raise the shelf from the rear and push it forward until it is freed and remove the retainers. Before plugging in, ensure that the voltage and frequency shown on the serial number plate correspond to your domestic power supply.
