10.4 Cleaning the air outlet and
the panel
1. Use a dry and soft cloth to wipe it.
2. Purewaterormilddetergentmaybe
usedifitisverydirty.
WARNING!
• Donotusebenzine,thinner,
polishingpowder,orsimilar
solventsforcleaning.These
maycausethesurfacetocrack
ordeform.
• Toavoidtheriskofelectrical
shockorre,donotletwater
fall into the indoor unit.
• Neverwipetheairflowlouver
violently.
• An air conditioner without air
ltercannotexpelthedustout
oftheroom,whichwouldcause
malfunctionsbyaccumulation.
10.5 Replacementthelters
1. Removetheairlter.
2. Removetheairfresheninglter.
3. Installanewairfresheninglter.
4. Reinstalltheairlterandsecurely
close the front panel.
10.6 Preparationforextended
non-operation
Ifyouplantoidletheunitforalongtime,
performthefollowing:
1. Cleantheindoorunitandlters.
2. Operatethefanforabouthalfadayto
dry the inside of the unit.
3. Stoptheairconditioneranddisconnect
power.
4. Removethebatteriesfromtheremote
controller. The outdoor unit requires
periodicmaintenanceandcleaning.Do
notattempttodothisyourself.Contact
yourdealerorserviceprovider.
10.7 Pre-seasoninspection
1. Checkthatthewiringisnotbrokeno
or disconnected.
2. Cleantheindoorunitandlters.
3. Checkthattheairlterisinstalled.
4. Check if the air outlet or inlet is
blockedaftertheairconditionerhas
notbeenusedforalongtime.
WARNING!
• Donottouchthemetalparts
oftheunitwhenremovingthe
lter.Injuriescanoccurwhen
handlingsharpmetaledges.
• Do not use water to clean inside
the air conditioner. Exposure to
watercandestroytheinsulation,
leadingtopossibleelectric
shock.
• Whencleaningtheunit,rst
makesurethatthepowerand
circuitbreakerareturnedo.
• Donotwashairlterwithhot
wateratmorethan40ºC/104ºF.
Shakeomoisturecompletely
and dry it in the shade. Do not
exposeitdirectlytothesun,it
mayshrink.
