• DO NOT lean on the top and, espe-
cially, DO NOT lean on the shelf
when it is open, because it could be
damaged.
In any case, if the top or the shelf are
damaged, DO NOT try to fix them by
your self. Contact your local Service
Centre.
• DO NOT place detergent, bleach or
fabric softener containers on top of
the appliance. They can damage the
finish or controls.
• The liquids that inadvertently run in-
side will be gathered inside the appli-
ance and can be emptied out as de-
scribe in the paragraph «Drain
pump» or selecting the drain pro-
gramme.
• Clean the top with a wet cloth. DO
NOT use any non-abrasive house-
hold cleanser.
• Never dry items that have had con-
tact with chemicals such as dry clean-
ing fluid. These are of a volatile na-
ture and could cause an explosion.
Only dry items which have been
washed in water or require airing.
• Do not dry on the drying board of the
appliance clothes which has been
stained or soaked in vegetable oil or
cooking oil (fire risk ).
• The switching on of the drying board
could cause a bad smell, but it disap-
pears after a while.
