GLOBAL SETTINGS
The SPS-1 MKII/SPS-1UW MKII offers 8 different global settings positions. The multiple
global setups are useful for using the Machinedrum in more than one setup. You can have
one setup for studio use and another for live use, or maybe several different setups for dif-
ferent parts of your live set.
The items listed below are available in a the GLOBAL SETTINGS menu.
MIDI base channel
TRACK/PATTERN mappings for a MIDI keyboard
Local control on or off
Sysex send of pattern, song and kit data
Sysex receive of pattern, song and kit data
Program change settings
Sample manager (Machinedrum UserWave only!)
Output routings of tracks
Trig in settings for external pads
Sync settings
T
o select a global setting and edit it:
1. Press [FUNCTION] and then the [PATTERN/SONG] key to open the GLOBAL SET-
TINGS menu.
2. Go to the global setting slot you wish to use, and press [ENTER/YES]
to select it.
3. If you wish to enter the menu for the selected slot, you can either press [ENTER/YES]
once more or move the focus to the ENTER field and press [ENTER/YES].
MIDI
Here you set how the Machinedrum will handle both MIDI and SYSEX data. For the
