Setting up PostScript or PCL printing with
Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003
To set up the Fiery EX2101 as a PostScript or PCL printer, you must install the
PostScript or PCL printer driver for Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003 and the
corresponding printer description files. You must also configure the print connection
between the computer and the Fiery EX2101. If you are printing over a network, you
must configure a network connection.
Installing the PostScript or PCL printer driver for
Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003
The following procedure describes installing the printer driver from the User
Software CD. Subsequent procedures describe setting up the print connection.
NOTE: The procedures for installing PostScript printer drivers on Windows 2000 and
Windows XP are similar. Windows 2000 illustrations are used and differences noted in
the text.
TO INSTALL THE POSTSCRIPT OR PCL PRINTER DRIVER FOR
WINDOWS 2000/XP/SERVER 2003
1. On Windows 2000, click Start, choose Settings, and then choose Printers.
On Windows XP, click Start and choose Printer and Faxes.
2. On Windows 2000, double-click the Add Printer icon and click Next.
On Windows XP, click Add Printer.
3. Specify printing using a Local printer and click Next.
This procedure describes the installation of a local printer. You can modify the
connection later, according to your network type.
