MESSAGE SIMULATION
The Gateway contains a mode where it will connuously send simulated messages to the Broker. These
messages can be used to test network operaon. The messages are simulated wireless sensor data
from a Baery Management System (BMS) and an Asset Tracker (AT).
MESSAGE SIMULATION MODE SET-UP
1. Read the enre procedure before starng.
2. Congure the Gateway and associated applicaons as instructed in the previous secon (Set-Up
Instrucons).
3. Press and hold the PB1 and PB2 buons on the Gateway for 5 seconds. The PWR LED should go out.
4. Only release the PB1 buon (PB2 is sll held down). The PWR LED and Fault LEDs should turn ON,
and the red COM LED should start to ash at a fast rate.
5. Release the PB2 buon. The red COM LED should stop ashing and go solid red. The Fault LED on
the Gateway should turn o.
6. Data should start to appear on both the serial terminal (if connected), and the VA window. The
serial terminal displays the raw data, and the VA displays the formaed data.
7. The Gateway will connue to post messages indenitely. In order to disable message simulaon, press
and hold the PB1 and PB2 buons for 5 seconds. The PWR LED should go out. Then release both
buons simultaneously.
