• Initiate the SysEx send from the sending device after Analog Rytm MKII has started
listening to incoming data.
• When receiving to a specific list position, any subsequent data will be received on the
next position, or positions, in the list.
• Analog Rytm MKII can receive SysEx data at any time, regardless of the currently active
menu. The data will be loaded into the position specified when it was saved, or to the
first free slot if unspecified.
14.10 SYSTEM
The System menu contains USB CONFIG, OS UPGRADE, FORMAT +DRIVE, CALIBRATION and VERIFY
FACTORY SAMPLES options for the Analog Rytm MKII.
14.10.1 USB CONFIG
To use the Analog Rytm MKII as an Overbridge device (For more information, please see “6.6 OVER-
BRIDGE” on page 18.) you must set it to Overbridge mode. Do so by selecting the OVERBRIDGE
MODE menu item and ticking the box by pressing [YES].
Should you, for some reason, wish to disable the Overbridge integration functionality, select the item
called USB-MIDI ONLY and press [YES].
14.10.2 OS UPGRADE
Use this menu option is used when you want to upgrade the Analog Rytm MKII OS. To send the OS syx
file, use our free Elektron Transfer software. The OS syx file and Elektron Transfer can be downloaded
from the Elektron website.
For the transfer to be possible, the device sending the OS syx file must be connected to either the MIDI
IN or USB port of Analog Rytm MKII.
Please note that the Analog Rytm MKII will not appear as an icon on your computer desktop.
1. Press [YES] to make Analog Rytm MKII start listening for incoming OS SysEx data. If you wish to
cancel the waiting state, press [NO].
2. Open Elektron Transfer and select Elektron Analog Rytm MKII for MIDI Input device as well as MIDI
Output device.
3. Drag and drop the syx file to the Elektron Transfer main window to send it to the Analog Rytm MKII.
A progress bar is visible on the Analog Rytm MKII screen when receiving the OS. When the process is
successfully completed, the OS is updated and the unit reboots.
If you wish to cancel the waiting state, press [NO].
