CHAPTER 1 Using the Free Notes Want to surprise your friends or your family with a bright new E-mail? Now, Free Notes offers a variety of writing tools and letter papers for you to send E-mail with free handwriting, colorful drawing or desktop annotation for your friends and family.
Tablet PC Applications Manual Launching the Free Notes • Double clicking the Free Notes icon on the desktop. - Or - • Select Start > Programs > Free Notes & Office Ink > Free Notes to launch the program. The Workspace Free Notes offer two modes - Letter Mode and Desktop Mode for users. Letter Mode By default, Free Notes opens in Letter Mode, pictured below. The first time you run the program, an empty database file (Untitled.Fns) will be opened.
CHAPTER 1 – Using the Free Notes 4. Control Bar: This consists of icons for writing functions. Desktop Mode To enter Desktop Mode, simply click the Change to Desktop Mode icon . You can free handwrite on full-screen desktop.
Tablet PC Applications Manual Toolbar The toolbar allows quick access to frequently used commands. Just click one to execute the command. Create a new document. Open an existing document. Save the active document into a Free Notes file (*.Fns) or JPG file (*.jpg). Display print preview. Print the active document. After tap this button, the letter automatically cuts the handwriting or drawing into a block and transfers this block into a JPG file.
CHAPTER 1 – Using the Free Notes Control Bar Move inserted pictures on the screen. The Eraser offers easy and fast way to erase unwanted objects. With the eraser, users don’t need to erase unwanted parts line by line. Just circle or draw lines across the unwanted objects and the entire object will be deleted. Pencil/Brush Pen/Marker: Produces effect similar to a pencil, brush pen, and marker. There are five kinds of thickness of the pen. Number one is the thinnest and number five is the thickest.
Tablet PC Applications Manual Adjust the width of letter lines. Tap the upper scroll arrow and the width of the letter lines grows larger. Tap the lower one and the width grows smaller. Zoom in the window to 100%, 200% or 400%. Zoom out the window to 200%, 100% or 50%. Undo the last handwriting. Redo the deleted handwriting. How to capture screen 1. After tap Capture Screen button , users will enter the desktop screen, an icon will appear on the screen as shown below. 2.

CHAPTER 2 – Using the Office Ink Redo the deleted handwriting. Start to free write. Cancel the inking handwriting or drawing. Ink the handwriting or drawing. Minimize the window. Exit Office Ink program. Let’s Practice 1. Launch the Office Ink and Microsoft Word programs. 2. Tap the button and start to write your message as shown below.
Tablet PC Applications Manual 3. Tap the button to ink the handwriting or drawing. 4. Switch to the Microsoft Word program. Select the Paste command from Edit menu on the toolbar. 5. The handwriting will be embedded into the Microsoft Word as an image object. Figure 4 NOTE: If users write message on the Word directly. After tapping the ink button , it will skip step 3 and create the embedded image object automatically.
CHAPTER 3 Using the Pensoft Pro Besides the soft keyboard, the Pensoft Pro, a useful handwriting recognition tool, provides users to enter data easily and quickly.
Tablet PC Applications Manual Launching the Pensoft Pro • Select Start > Programs > Pensoft Pro > Handwriting Recognition to launch the program. • The workspace will appear as shown as below. Figure 5 Toolbar Tap these 2 icons to toggle mouse and pen functions. / User could use F11 to switch Handwriting/Mouse mode quickly. Tap this button to set up the system configuration.

CHAPTER 4 Using the Power Presenter RE Power Presenter RE is mainly collocating with Microsoft PowerPoint. With the handwriting and drawing, now users can make more fun for their slide show.

Toolbar Exit the Power Presenter RE program. Arrow button. If user want to move the embedded object, tap this button return back from pen drawing mode. Color palette. Adjust the color of pen. Select one pen you want to use. Set the thickness of the pen. Select one eraser.
CHAPTER 4 – Using the Power Presenter RE Start / stop recording function. / Playback the slide show. Send the slideshow to mail recipient and this file is sent out as an attachment file. Save the active slide show. End slide show Let’s Practice 1. 2. Launch the Pensoft Pro and Microsoft PowerPoint programs. You can insert the images; add some handwriting or drawing as shown below.
