BEFORE YOU BEGIN
• Elkay is not responsible for sink or countertop if
damaged during installation.
• Metal edges may be sharp - use caution when handling.
• Follow all local plumbing and building codes.
• Inspect sink for damage prior to beginning installation.
ATTENTION INSTALLER:
MAKING COUNTERTOP CUTOUT
Position template on countertop. Template is designed for
both top mount and undermount installations. Locate the
template front to rear, so that sink will not interfere with the
cabinet and there’s ample space for the faucet.
Trace a line around the template. Cut along the inside of this
line to provide opening. Follow countertop manufacturer’s
directions for cutting countertop.

Elkay recommends that undermount sinks should be
installed by a professional experienced installer.
WARNING: The enclosed cutout template will create a
countertop opening that will expose approximately 1/2"
of sink rim ledge. It is recommended that you discuss
this with your customer and agree that this finished
appearance is the desired effect. Elkay is not responsible
for improper sink or countertop installations. Due to the
aesthetic qualities of the the converging bowl radii, the
template furnished with each sink provides the only
opening recommended for installation of undermount
sinks. See illustration below.
Elkay undermount sinks should only be fastened to a
solid surface countertop (i.e. granite/Corian / Silestone

Elkay recomienda que los fregaderos de montaje bajo
mostrador deben ser instalados por un instalador
profesional experimentado.
ADVERTENCIA: El patrón o templete que se incluye para
cortar la abertura donde se instalará el fregadero
permitirá que el reborde del fregadero quede expuesto
una media pulgada (1/2” o sea 13 mm). Recomendamos
que usted consulte esto con su cliente para convenir si
esta apariencia de terminación tiene el deseado efecto.
Elkay no se hace responsable por instalaciones inapro-
piadas de fregadero o mostrador. Debido a la calidad
estética de los radios convergentes del cuenco, el patrón
que se incluye con cada fregadero proporciona la única
abertura que se recomienda para el montaje de fregade-

HECHURA DEL CORTE DE LA ABERTURA
DEL MOSTRADOR
Coloque el patrón sobre el mostrador. El patrón ha sido
diseñado tanto para montaje sobre el mostrador como
montaje debajo del mismo. Coloque el patrón desde el frente
hacia atrás, de manera que el fregadero no interfiera con el
gabinete y haya espacio suficiente para el grifo.
Trace una línea alrededor del patrón. Corte a lo largo y en el
interior de la línea para hacer la abertura. Siga las instruc-
ciones del fabricante del mostrador en cuanto a la forma en
que debe hacer el corte en el mostrador.
