The unique design allows for the handling of ANY size of vial, simply by introducing
a combination of the appropriate LoggerNest, StopperClip, LyoStopper and/or
LoggerClip.
9.1. StopperClip
The StopperClip provides an effortless connection between the LyoPro data
logger and the vial – ensuring that they are safely steered together. The clip
comes with an integrated stopper system, while simultaneously fixing the
position of the sensor at the predefined measuring point. The StopperClip is
easy to handle within aseptic procedures, making it the ideal choice when using
fully automatic robotic systems.
The PEEK StopperClip is also designed to offer room for an additional buffer vial
that can be placed between the data logger and vial – and can be manufactured
according to any vial dimension.
9.2. LyoStopper
The LyoStopper is made of Silicone rubber and a PEEK tube that covers the two
internal neck diameters, namely ø7 mm for 2R and 4R vials, ø12.6 mm for 6R-
100R vials.
As all vials have different heights, the PEEK tube part of the LyoStopper is made
in lengths that fit exactly according to the actual size of vial to steer the
thermocouple into right position repeatedly. That being in the geometric center
and in the most critical (warm) ice phase spot, which is usually defined as either
1 mm above vial bottom or directly touching the glass surface.
