Cleaning and Maintenance
First time use: The pump circulation system needs to be flushed and drained before
first using your new Ella Walk in Bath.
Both the air and hydro systems are plumbed so that the water will drain from the
plumbing after each use.
Usually, a mild detergent will remove construction debris. More stubborn debris
may be removed with denatured alcohol or Clorox Soft Scrub cleaner. Light
scratches and dulled areas may be restored to its original luster by polishing the
surface with a fine grade automotive type cleaning and polishing compound.
It is recomended that once a month the tub is flushed. As well, with every month of
normal use, clean out the pumps inlet cover (Image 21) by unscrewing the cover
(counter clockwise) and removing any hair and debris from the cover and housing.
Remount the cover in place. Never operate the system with the cover off, as the
pump creates a strong suction and damage to the pump or injury may occure.
Bath oils, fragrences and salts may be used, but are not suggested. The use of these
bath products will require more frequent maintenance cleaning of the tub and its
plumbing.
To clean your Ella Walk in Bath, use a mild non-abrasive liquid detergent solution.
