Lace designs
You can make a free standing lace by sewing the lace
designs on organdy.
Attach a water soluble stabilizer to organdy, two or more
layers may be required.
Use the same thread for the bobbin as the needle thread.
Use a fully wound bobbin.
Adjust the embroidery foot height to 2.2 mm or higher (refer
to page 114 or 126).
Set the low bobbin thread warning level to 3 or 4 (refer to
page 126).
Set the sewing speed to 600 spm or less with the speed
control slider.
Select the desired lace design pattern and sew.
Remove the organdy from the hoop.
Trim away the organdy and stabilizer surrounding the
design pattern with scissors.
Rinse away the stabilizer using water.
Iron press the design pattern as necessary.
Quilting designs
The quilting designs SQ14-1 through SQ14-24 comprise
3 color sections.
However you sew the following speciļ¬c sections only by
pressing the relevant icon keys.

Center design
Use the same thread for the bobbin as the needle thread.
Use the red tip needle or purple tip needle to avoid
skipped stitch.
Adjust the foot height if necessary (refer to page 114 or
126).
Set the low bobbin thread warning level to 3 or 4 (refer to
page 126).
Turn on the one stitch stop function in the embroidery
setting mode (refer to page 126).
When pressing the start/stop button, the machine sews
one stitch and stops automatically.
Pull the needle thread to bring the bobbin thread up and
place both threads on the thread holder.
Sew several stitches and stop the machine.
Cut the loose threads close to the beginning of the stitch.
Start the machine again to sew the design pattern.
