Recommended separation distances between
Portable and mobile RF communications equipment and the 1528L
The 1528L is intended for use in which radiated RF disturbances are controlled. The customer or the user of the 1528L can help
prevent electromagnetic interference by maintaining a minimum distance between portable and mobile RF communications
equipment (transmitters) and the 1528L as recommended below, according to the maximum output power of the communications
equipment.
Separation distance according to frequency of transmitter

For transmitters rated at a maximum output power not listed above, the recommended separation distance d in meters (m) can be
estimated using the equation applicable to frequency of the transmitter, where P is the maximum output power rating of the
transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer.
NOTE 1 At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the separation distance for the higher frequency range applies.
NOTE 2 These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic propagation is affected by absorption and reflection
from structures, objects and people.
This device complies with all applicable electromagnetic emission and immunity standards for medical
device equipment. This device is designed to not cause harmful interference, and to accept any interference
received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. The performance of this device is
limited to the emission and immunity standards that have been applied. Other devices which are not
designed to withstand emission levels as specified in the medical device standards may be susceptible to
interference from this device. Subjecting the device to conditions beyond the rated performance capabilities
may result in emissions in excess of the standard. If it is determined that this device produces
electromagnetic or other interference it must be disconnected from power until the cause of the problem has
been determined and resolved. If it is determined that this device is functioning improperly due to
electromagnetic and other interference it must be disconnected from power until the cause of the problem
has been determined and resolved.
