Playing Compact Discs
NOTE: Although the CD player can read CD-R and CD-RW discs, in addition
to normal CDs, however the playability of CD-R/RW discs may be affected by
the type of software that was used to create the discs, as well as the quality
and condition of the blank media you are using. 100% playability cannot be
guaranteed. This is not an indication of a problem with the player.
Normal Playback
1.) Press the POWER button to turn the system On. The Standby indicator
goes off.
2.) Press the FUNCTION button to select the CD
function. Two dashes (“– –) flash in the display.
3.) Press on the CD door in the area marked OPEN/CLOSE to open the door. If
you haven't already done so remove the dummy CDtransit protection card
from the CD player and discard it.
4.) Place your CD on the center spindle with the printed label side facing up and
close the CD door.
Two dashes (“– –) flash in the display while the
player reads the disc and then the display shows
the total number of tracks on the disc.
NOTE: If the disc is inserted upside down, or if
the disc is badly scratched and unreadable, the
display will continue to show two dashes.
5.) Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to begin playback on track 01.
The play indicator appears.
6.) Adjust the VOLUME or control to the desired level.
7.) To skip to higher or lower numbered tracks press the or until the desired
track number appears in the display, then release the buttons. Playback will
begin on the desired track.
