WARNING Before assembling your ceiling fan, refer to section on proper method of wiring your fan (page 9). If you feel you do not have enough wiring knowledge or experience, have your fan installed by a licensed electrician.
3.1 3. Ceiling Fan Assembly MOTOR HUB Rotate the motor hub to align the hub notch area over each of the five screws which is holding the shipping retainer to the motor assembly. 3. Ceiling Fan Assembly 3.4 NOTE: Take care not to scratch fan housing when installing blades. MOTOR HUB BLADE/FLANGE ASSEMBLY Loosely attach one blade/flange assembly to the motor hub by securing the two 1/4-20 x 14mm captive pan head screws. Make sure the screws are NOT tightened (Figure 4). Repeat this procedure for other four blade assemblies.
3. Ceiling Fan Assembly Installation of Switch Housing Assembly for Manual Control 3.6 PULL CHAIN SWITCH MOTOR CONNECTOR Remove and retain the three #8-32 x 12mm flat head screws from the switch housing plate. SWITCH HOUSING ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR Engage the connector of the switch housing assembly with the motor connector (Figure 6). The two connectors are keyed and color-coded and must be mated correctly (color-to-color) before they can be engaged. Make sure the connector latch closes properly.
3. Ceiling Fan Assembly (continued) 3.9 PARTIALLY ASSEMBLED CEILING FAN Turn the partially assembled ceiling fan right side up in preparation for final assembly. Carefully place the partially assembled ceiling fan on the styrofoam being careful not to bend the ceiling fan blades (Figure 9). STYROFOAM Figure 9 3.10 GREEN GROUND WIRE Remove the hanger ball from the 4.5” downrod by loosening the setscrew in the hanger ball until the ball falls freely down the downrod (Figure 10).
3. Ceiling Fan Assembly (continued) 3.12 Loosen the two setscrews in the motor coupling. Place the 4.5” downrod into the motor coupling, aligning the clevis pin holes in the downrod with the holes in the motor coupling (Figure 12). 4.5" DOWNROD HAIRPIN CLIP CLEVIS PIN The clevis pin must go through the holes in the motor coupling and the holes in the downrod.

Ceiling Fan Assembly (continued) DOWNROD Make sure the grommet is properly installed in the motor coupler cover then slide the motor coupler cover on the downrod until it rests on the motor housing. 3. Ceiling Fan Assembly (continued) 3.16 4.5" DOWNROD Route the three 80” motor leads through the hanger ball. PIN HANGER BALL Reinstall the hanger ball (Figure 16) on the downrod as follows: Position the hanger ball pin through the two holes in the downrod and align the ball so the pin is captured in the groove in the top of the hanger ball. SETSCREW Pull the hanger ball up tight against the pin and securely tighten the setscrew in the hanger ball. NOTE: A loose setscrew could create fan wobble.
4. How to Hang Your Ceiling Fan ! WARNING ! WARNING CEILING The fan must be hung with at least 7' of clearance from floor to blades (Figure 18). The outlet box and joist must be securely mounted and capable of supporting at least 50 lbs. Use only a U.L. outlet box listed as “Acceptable for Fan Support of 22.7 kg. (50 lbs.) or less”. ! AT LEAST 7' WARNING To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, mount fan to outlet box marked “Acceptable for Fan Support of 22.7 kg. (50 lbs.
5. How to Wire Your Ceiling Fan If you feel that you do not have enough electrical wiring knowledge or experience, have your fan installed by a licensed electrician. ! WARNING GROUND CONDUCTOR SUPPLY To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure electricity is turned off at the main fuse box before wiring. NOTE: If you are not sure if the outlet box is grounded, contact a licensed electrician for advice, as it must be grounded for safe operation. LISTED WIRE CONNECTOR 5.

5.5 5. How to Wire Your Ceiling Fan (Continued) Screw the two threaded studs (supplied) into the tapped holes in the hanger bracket (Figure 25). Lift the ceiling cover up to the threaded studs and turn until studs protrude through the holes in the ceiling cover (Figure 26). 5.
6. Using Your Ceiling Fan 6.1 Restore electrical power to the outlet box by turning the electricity on at the main fuse box. All fans are shipped from the factory with the reversing switch positioned to the “left” circulate air downward. If airflow is desired in opposite direction, turn your fan OFF and wait for the blades to stop turning, then slide the reversing switch to the “right” position, and turn fan on again (Figure 27). The fan blades will turn in the opposite direction and reverse the airflow.
7. Maintenance IMPORTANT CARE INSTRUCTIONS for your Ceiling Fan ! WARNING ! WARNING Do not use water when cleaning your ceiling fan. It could damage the motor or the blades and create the possibility of an electrical shock. Periodic cleaning of your new ceiling fan is the only maintenance that is needed. When cleaning, use only a soft brush or lint free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. Abrasive cleaning agents are not required and should be avoided to prevent damage to finish. 8.

6. Utilización del ventilador de techo 6.1 Restablezca el suministro eléctrico a la caja de tomacorriente encendiendo la electricidad en la caja de fusibles principal. Todos los ventiladores se envían de la fábrica con el interruptor de inversión posicionado hacia la “izquierda” para que el aire circule hacia abajo.
7. Mantenimiento ! INSTRUCCIONES DE CUIDADO IMPORTANTES para su ventilador de techo ADVERTENCIA No use agua cuando limpie su ventilador de techo. El agua podría dañar el motor o las paletas y crear la posibilidad de una descarga eléctrica. La limpieza periódica de su nuevo ventilador de techo es el único mantenimiento que se necesita. Assemblage du ventilateur de plafond 3.1 DU MOTEUR MOYEU HUB MOTOR Faites tourner le moyeu du moteur de façon à aligner la partie du moyeu comportant une encoche sur chacune des cinq vis qui assujettissent la patte de fixation temporaire à l’ensemble de moteur. Dévissez chaque vis une à la fois, puis jetez les vis et la patte de fixation temporaire (Figure 1).
3. Assemblage du ventilateur de plafond 3.4 REMARQUE : Faites attention de ne pas rayer le logement du ventilateur lorsque vous installez les pales. MOYEU DU MOTOR HUB MOTEUR ENSEMBLE DE PALE/BRIDE DE BLADE/FLANGE FIXATION ASSEMBLY Attachez sans serrer excessivement un ensemble de pale/bride de fixation au moyeu du moteur en sécurisant les deux vis à tête cylindrique bombée captives 1/4-20 x 14 mm. Assurez-vous que les vis ne sont PAS serrées à fond (Figure 4).

Assemblage du ventilateur de plafond (suite) 3.9 PLAFOND VENTILATEUR PARTIALLYDE ASSEMBLED PARTIELLEMENT CEILING FAN ASSEMBLÉ Retournez le ventilateur de plafond partiellement assemblé de façon que le côté correct soit orienté vers le haut dans le cadre de la préparation pour le montage final. Placez soigneusement le ventilateur de plafond partiellement assemblé sur la mousse de polystyrène en faisant attention de ne pas tordre les pales du ventilateur de plafond (Figure 9).

4. Comment suspendre votre ventilateur de plafond ! AVERTISSEMENT PLAFOND CEILING Le ventilateur doit être suspendu de telle sorte que les pales se trouvent à au moins 7 pi (2 m) du sol (Figure 18). ! AVERTISSEMENT Le boîtier de prises de courant et la solive doivent être installés de façon sécurisée et être capables de supporter sans problème au moins 50 livres (22,7 kg). 5.Comment effectuer le câblage pour raccorder votre ventilateur de plafond Si vous pensez que vous n’avez pas d’expérience ou de connaissances suffisantes en matière de câblage, demandez à un électricien agréé de réaliser l’installation de votre ventilateur. ! AVERTISSEMENT ALIMENTATION DU GROUND CONDUCTEUR DE MISE CONDUCTOR ÀSUPPLY LA TERRE Pour éviter tout risque de choc électrique, assurez-vous que l’alimentation électrique est coupée au niveau du boîtier des fusibles avant d’effectuer le câblage.

6. Utilisation de votre ventilateur de plafond 6.1 Réalimentez le boîtier de prises de courant en rétablissant l’électricité au niveau du coffret à fusibles principal. Tous les ventilateurs sont expédiés depuis l’usine avec le commutateur de sens de rotation positionné vers la « gauche », afin de faire circuler l’air vers le bas.
7. Maintenance ! INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANTES CONCERNANT L’ENTRETIEN de votre ventilateur de plafond AVERTISSEMENT N’utilisez pas d’eau lorsque vous nettoyez votre ventilateur de plafond car ceci pourrait endommager le moteur ou les pales et vous exposer à un risque de choc électrique. Pour maintenir votre ventilateur de plafond en bon état, il vous suffit simplement de le nettoyer périodiquement. Lorsque vous le nettoyez, utilisez une brosse douce ou un tissu non pelucheux pour éviter de rayer la finition.
