1. Remove the two diametrically opposed pipe plugs (key 16).
2. Connect a purging fluid to one of the pipe plug connections.
3. Install appropriate piping or tubing in the other pipe plug connection to pipe away the purging fluid or to make a
connection to an analyzer for leak testing.
4. When purging or leak t esting has been completed, remove the piping or tubing and reinstall the pipe plugs (key
16).

actuatornameplatewhenthevalveisshippedfromthefactoryaspartofacontrolvalveassembly.Refertotheserial
number when contacting your Emerson Process Management sales office for technical assistance. When ordering
replacement parts, refer to the serial number and to the 11-character part number for each part required from the
following parts list.
