Operation Manual

Using the remote control you can now start recording. If the Auto Keylock has been
enabled you will need the administrator code for this function. You can only end the
recording by setting the option ‘Manual Record’ in the ‘Record’ menu to ‘OFF’. For this
function you will also need the administrator code.
6.4 Time based recording
Time based recording allows you to only record during a specified time frame. This
option is comparable to manual recording, only now the recording will start or stop
automatically.
1. Press the red ‘Menu’ button on the remote control to open the menu of the
EM6010.
2. Press the ‘Enter’ button to open the ‘Record’ menu.
3. Choose the option ‘Record IMG Size’, nd set it to ‘Frame’ using the ‘Enter’ button.
4. Choose the option ‘Record Quality’, and set it to ‘Best’ using the ‘Enter button.
5. Choose the option ‘Timer Record IPS’ and set it to (for instance) ’12 IPS’ using
the ‘Enter’ button. (Consult the table in chapter 6.2 to estimate the disk usage.)
6. Press the red ‘Menu’ button twice to return to the menu.
7. Choose the option ‘Timer’ using the arrow keys.
8. Using the arrow keys you can select the field you wish to alter. The ‘+’ and ‘-‘
buttons allow you to change the values.
9. The ‘Date’ field lets you choose between a day, workdays or weekend.
10. Enter the start time and the end time between which the recording actually needs
to occur in the ‘Start’ field and the ‘End’ field.
11. Press the red ‘Menu’ button to return to the menu after setting the time frame.
12. Choose the option ‘Record’ using the arrow keys.
13. Choose the option ‘Timer Record Enable’ using the arrow keys.
14. Press ‘Enter’ to enable this option.
Hint: The EM6010 can switch between IPS’s. This function saves disk space because
smooth recordings will only be made when motion is detected. For instance: You can
set ‘Timer Record IPS’ to 3 IPS, and ‘Event Record IPS’ to 25 IPS. The recorder will
increase the IPS to 25 as soon as motion is detected.
6.5 Recording with motion detection
This option allows the EM6010 to start recording using motion detection. As soon as a
camera detects motion, the EM6010 starts recording images. If at that time a
recording is already running, the IPS will be temporarily increased during the motion
detection.
