6.5.1 Configuring motion detection
1. Press the red ‘Menu’ button on the remote control to open the menu of the
EM6010.
2. Choose the option ‘Advance’, and press the ‘Enter’ button.
3. Choose the option ‘Detection’, and press the ‘Enter’ button.
4. Choose the option ‘Detection Setup’, and press the ‘Enter’ button.
5. Choose the option ‘Setup’ for the concerning camera.
6. Press the ‘Enter’ button again.
7. In this screen it is possible to select fields using the arrow keys on the remote
control.
8. By pressing the ‘Enter’ button and navigating through the screen using the arrow
keys, you can color the fields red or label them ‘empty’. For the fields that are
labeled ‘empty’ the motion detection is enabled. The red fields will be ignored.
9. After you are done determining the zones for which motion detection is active,
press the ‘Menu’ button once to return to the ‘Detection Setup’.
10. You can enable the detection by choosing ‘ON’ in the ‘DET’ column using the
‘Enter’ button on the remote control.
11. Repeat steps 7 t/m 9 for each camera for which you want to enable motion
detection.
Other settings for motion detection
LS: General sensitivity. Lower values are more sensitive.
Default value: 7
SS: Sensitivity area. Determines in how many blocks motion needs to occur.
Default value: 3
TS: Time sensitivity. Determines how long a certain object may be active in the
detection area before detection and recording occurs. Lower values are
more sensitive. Default value: 2
RE: Reference sensitivity. Determines how many images will be watched to
establish whether motion is occurring. Higher values are more sensitive. The
maximum is 61 images.
ALARM: Determines the polarity of the alarm output on the EM6010. Default setting
is off.
(The general settings for motion detection are usually sufficient for the motion
detection to function correctly.)
