The EM6010 comes with a sensor for the remote control. Connect the sensor to the IR
input on the back of the DVR (left side). Make sure the receiving side of the IR sensor
gets placed in a location where there is unobstructed view, for instance on your
monitor or TV.
3.2 Connecting the EM6010 to your TV or video monitor
Now that the EM6010 is connected to the power grid you can also connect it to a
television, video monitor or LAN network. In this paragraph we will explain how to
connect the EM6010 to a television or monitor. If you wish to connect the EM6010 to a
television, this television needs to be equipped with an RCA-cinch connector.
1. Connect the supplied converter to the ‘monitor’ connection on the back of the
EM6010. (See figure 1.)
2. Connect the RCA-cinch cable to both the converter and the AV input of your
television or monitor. (If you connect the EM6010 to a monitor you can use a so-
called ‘BNC’ video cable.)
3. Press the ‘POWER’ button on the remote control.
4. The EM6010 emits a beeping sound for a few seconds.
5. After about 15 seconds the EM6010 has started up.
