4.0 First settings
Now that the EM6010 has been connected, you will need to change the default
passwords so that unauthorized users can not gain access to the EM6010. It is also
important that the date and time are correctly configured, allowing you to see at which
moment a certain recording was made.
4.1 Changing administrator and guest code
The EM6010 knows two kinds of users, an administrator (admin) who is allowed to
change all settings, and a guest user (guest) who can only view the image and rotate
between cameras. It is important to change the default codes (0000 and 1111) for
these users.
1. Press the red ‘Menu’ button on your remote control.
2. Enter the code ‘0000’ by pressing the ‘Enter’ button four times.
3. Navigate to the ‘Advance’ menu using the arrow keys and press ‘Enter’.
4. Navigate to the ‘System’ menu and press ‘Enter’.
5. Navigate to the option ‘Password - Setup’ and press ‘Enter’.
6. Select ‘Admin Password’.
7. By using the ‘+ / -‘ buttons you can change the code and using the arrow keys
you can change the position of the cursor on the screen.
8. If you wish you can also change the ‘Guest Password’, in the same manner.
9. Press the ‘Menu’ button to leave this screen and save the changes to the codes.
Important: If you are using the EM6010 in a network, it is also of importance that you
change the password of the default network user ‘admin’. Consult chapter 8.2.2 on
how to exactly achieve this.
4.2 Enabling Auto Keylock
To prevent the EM6010 from being accessible by accident, we recommend you to
enable the ‘Auto Keylock’ function. When this function is active, you will need to enter
one of the two security codes after a specified amount of time has passed before you
can use the remote control again. This function can be enabled as follows:
1. Press the red ‘Menu’ button on the remote control.
2. Enter the code ‘0000’ by pressing the ‘Enter’ button four times.
3. Navigate to the ‘Advance’ menu using the arrow keys and press ‘Enter’.
4. Navigate to the ‘System’ menu and press ‘Enter’.

and 60 seconds.
