Hint: If this function is enabled you will need to enter a code before you can configure
the EM6010. We recommend you to only enable this option after you are done
installing the device.
4.3 Setting the date and time using a TV or video monitor
1. Press the red ‘Menu’ button on the remote control.
2. If the EM6010 asks for a code: Enter the Admin code as set in chapter 4.1.
3. Use the ‘Down’ button to navigate to ‘Date’.
4. Press the ‘Enter’ button.
5. Enter the preferred date and time near ‘Date’.
6. After setting the date and time, press the ‘Menu’ button twice to save the
changes.
Using the ‘L’ and ‘R’ buttons you can navigate to the data entry fields for date and
time. By pressing the ‘+’ and the ‘-‘ buttons you can change the settings.
4.4 Setting the date and time over a LAN network
1. Open your internet browser (For instance Internet Explorer, Netscape or Firefox).
2. Enter http://192.168.1.10 in the address bar. (If you changed the IP address in
chapter 3, enter the new IP address.)
3. Press enter or click ‘Go to’
4. The login screen of the EM6010 will appear. You will be asked for a ‘Username’
and a ‘Password’.
5. Type ‘admin’ in the ‘Username’ field.
6. Type ‘admin’ in the ‘Password’ field.
7. Press enter or click ‘Submit’.
8. The opening screen is shown.
9. It is possible a message will appear, asking you to install a Java component.
Confirm this or press the enter button or the space bar to install this component.
10. Click the ‘Menu’ button in the upper right part of the screen.
11. Use the ‘Down’ button to navigate to ‘Date’.
12. Press the ‘Enter’ button.
13. Enter the preferred date near ‘Date’.
14. Close the current screen.
Note!: Eminent recommends you to configure these settings for the EM6010 using the
remote control and TV or video monitor. Configuring the EM6010 over the network
works much slower and is therefore less accurate. This is why the following chapters
will assume a TV or video monitor is connected to the EM6010.
