4. ESTABLISHING CONNECTIONS
4.1 Setting up a Wi-Fi connection
To set up a Wi-Fi connection, you need the name
of the Wi-Fi network (network SSID) and the
corresponding password.
If you already have a Wi-Fi network at home, you
canusually nd this information on the underside of
theWi-Fi router.
› Enabling the Wi-Fi function on
your smartphone
• Open Quick Settings on the home
screen bytapping on the gear icon.
• Activate the Wi-Fi function on your
phone by tapping on the On/O
indicator button

beside Wi-Fi.
• The On/O indicator button will
now displayOn.
The detail text on the Wi-Fi text
button will now indicate that the
phone has found Wi-Fi networks
(Wi-Fi networks available).
