Operating concept
The FieldPort SWA50 can be operated as follows:
Via smartphone or tablet with the Endress+Hauser SmartBlue app
Via Endress+Hauser Field Xpert SMT7x tablet PC
In addition, the WirelessHART version can be operated as follows:
Local configuration with FieldCare or DeviceCare via DTM for SWA50
Remote configuration with FieldCare via WirelessHART-Fieldgate SWG70 and DTM for SWA50
and SWG70
Local operation
You can enable and disable the following functions via DIP switches.
Bluetooth communication
Firmware update
Configuration via Bluetooth
The DIP switches are located on the electronic insert.

CE mark
The device meets the legal requirements of the applicable EU Directives. These are listed in the
corresponding EU Declaration of Conformity along with the standards applied.
Endress+Hauser confirms successful testing of the device by affixing to it the CE mark.
Ex approval
All explosion-protection data are provided in separate Ex documentation. The relevant Ex
documentation is delivered with the Ex devices as standard. The Ex documentation is also available
in the Downloads area of the Endress+Hauser website.
Explosion-protected smartphones and tablets
Mobile end devices with Ex approval must be used in hazardous areas.
Document type: Safety Instructions, certificates
Depending on the approval, safety instructions are supplied with the device, e.g. XA. This
documentation is an integral part of the Operating Instructions. The nameplate indicates the Safety
Instructions (XA) that are relevant to the device.
