The EAP1200H supports the 2.4 GHz frequency band under
the802.11b/g/nmodewhileatthesametimeprovidinga
5GHzbandforcommunicatingortransferringlesinaless
congested network frequency band.
The EAP1200H also delivers faster wireless speeds
comparedtomodern802.11a/b/g/nwirelessdevices.Even
though the EAP1200H has been designed and engineered
for heavy trafc and demanding business environments,
inlargerhousingenvironmentsasitcanefcientlyextend
thewirelessrangeofanexistinghomerouter.Thismakes
itespeciallyidealinarchitecturally-challengingstructures,
providing whole home connectivity.
To protect sensitive data during wireless transmissions,
the EAP1200H offers different encryption settings for
wireless transmissions, including industry standard WPA
and WPA2 encryption. The EAP1200H also includes MAC
addresslteringtoallownetworkadministratorstooffer
network access only to known computers and other devices
based on their MAC addresses.
