Encryption Type
Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP)
WARNING!
The IEEE802.11n standard prohibits using High Throughput with WEP or WPA-TKIP as the unicast cipher. If you
use these encryption methods, your data rate will drop to 802.11g 54Mbps connection.
z Authentication Type Select the type of authentication.
z Open System Wireless stations can associate with
the EIR900 without WEP encryption
z Shared Key Devices must provide the corresponding
WEP key(s) when connecting to the EIR900.
z Auto
z Key Length Select between 64-bit and 128-encryption.
z Key Type Select the type of characters used for the
WEP Key: ASCII (5 characters) or Hexadecimal
(10 characters).
z Encryption Key [#] Enter the encryption key(s) used to
encrypt the data packets during data transmission.
Click Apply to save the settings.
