IP Setting
The IP Setting screen contains elds for assigning IP
addresses.IPaddressesareeitherdenedasstaticorare
retrieved using the Dynamic Host Conguration Protocol
(DHCP).TheDHCPassignsdynamicIPaddressestodevices
on a network. DHCP ensures that network devices can
have a different IP address every time the device connects
to the network.
NotethefollowingwhenconguringIPAddresses:
If the device fails to retrieve an IP address through
DHCP,thedefaultIPaddressis192.168.0.239.
To access the page, click IP Setting under the system menu.
Dynamic IP Address (DHCP): Enable the IP address to be
congured automatically by the DHCP server. Selecting this
elddisablestheIPAddress,Subnetmask,andGatewayelds.
Static IP Address: Species that the IP address, Subnet
mask,anddefaultGatewaymustbemanuallycongured.
IP Address: Enter the static IP address used to manage the
Switch.
Subnet Mask: Enter the IP address mask.
Gateway:UsethistoconguretheIPaddressofarouter
on the same subnet as the management interface that
connects to other subnets.
Apply: Click APPLY to update the System Settings.
