OPERATION
Theoptionalroomairconvectionblowerwasdesignedtoextractthemaximumamountofheat
fromthestove,forthehighestpossibleheattransferintotheroom. Sincetheblowerisso
efficientatremovingheatfromtheunit,itisveryimportanttoonlyoperatetheroomairblower
afterafreshwoodloadha
sbeenallowedtoburnforatleastthirty(30)minutes. Allowingafresh
loadofwoodtoburnwithoutthebloweronensuresthattheentireunitreachesprope r
operationtemperaturesandthatthesecondarycombustionsystemisfunctioningproperly.
Additionally,followtheguidelinesbelowforaccepta
bleblowerspeeds.
Whenusingtheoptionalroomairconvectionblower(PartNo.AC16,oryoucanupgradetothe
AC30),theblowershouldbeoperatedasfollowsdependingonheatoutputlevel:

Creosote Formation and Need for
Removal
Whenwoodisburnedslowly,itproduces tarandotherorganic vapors,
which
combinewithexpelledmoisturetoformcreosote. Thecreosote
vapors
condenseintherelativelycoolchimneyflueofaslowburningfire. Asa
result,
creosoteresidueaccumulatesonthefluelining. Whenignited,this
creosote
makesanextremelyhotfire. Thechimneyandchimneyconnectorshould
be
inspectedatleastonceeverytwomonthsduringtheheatingseason
to
determineifacreosotebuilduphasoccurred. Ifcreosotehasaccumulated,
it
shouldberemovedtoreducetheriskofchimney
fire.
