INSTALLATION
InstallationOverview
Whenchoosingalocationforyournewstove,thereareamultitudeoffactors
thatshouldbetakenintoaccountbeforebeginningtheinstallation.
1. TrafficPatterns–Tohelppreventaccidents,thestoveshouldbeplacedina
locationwhereitisoutofthewayofnormaltravel
throughthehome.
2. HeatFlow–Whendecidingonalocationforthestove,considerthewayheat
movesthroughoutyourhome.Installthestovewhereyouneedtheheat;
basementinstallationsoftendonotallowsufficientheattoflowtotheupper
floorsandatopfloorinstallationwill
notallowanyheattoreachthefloors
below.Alwaysconsiderthatheatrisesandwilltakethepathofleast
resistancewhileitisstillhot.
3. ExhaustLocation–Outsidewallsaregenerallythebestplacetoinstalla stove,
sincetheyalloweasyexhaustandintakeair
installation(usingourDuraVent
AC‐3000Kit,AC‐33000ifCanada).Ifthereisnotafeasiblewaytoinstallthe
stoveonanoutsidewall,therearemethodsforventingthestoveupthrough
theroof,buttheytendtobemorecostlybecausetheyinvolvetheuseofmore
pelletventpipeandcanoftenmakeoutsideairinstallationmoredifficult.
4. WallConstruction–Locatingthestovesothattheexhaustsystemcanpass
betweenstudswillsimplifytheinstallationandeliminatetheneedtoreframe
anysectionsofthewalltoaccommodatethewallthimble.

Donotstoreorusegasolineorotherflammablevaporsandliquidsinthevicinityofthisoranyother
appliance.
DoNotOverfire–Ifanyexternalpartstartstoglow,youareoverfiring.Reducefeedrate.Overfiringwill
voidyourwarranty.
Complywithallminimumclearancestocombustiblesasspecified.Failuretocomplymayresultinahouse
fire.
Testedandapprovedforwoodpelletsonly.Burninganyotherfuelwillvoidyourwarranty.
