INSTALLATION
InstallationOverview
Whenchoosingalocationforyournewstove,thereareamultitudeoffactors
thatshouldbetakenintoaccountbeforebeginningtheinstallation.
1. TrafficPatterns–Tohelppreventaccidents,thestoveshouldbeplacedina
locationwhereitisoutofthewayofnormaltravelthroughthehome.
2. HeatFlow–Whendecidingonalocationforthestove,considerthewayheat
movesthroughoutyourhome.Installthestovewhereyouneedtheheat;
basementinstallationsoftendonotallowsufficientheattoflowtotheupper
floorsandatopfloorinstallationwillnotallowanyheattoreachthefloors
below.Alwaysconsiderthatheatrisesandwilltakethepathofleast
resistancewhileitisstillhot.
3. ExhaustLocation–Outsidewallsaregenerallythebestplacetoinstallastove,
sincetheyalloweasyexhaustandintakeairinstallation(usingourDuraVent
AC3000Kit,AC33000ifCanada).Ifthereisnotafeasiblewaytoinstallthe
stoveonanoutsidewall,therearemethodsforventingthestoveupthrough
theroof,buttheytendtobemorecostlybecausetheyinvolvetheuseofmore
pelletventpipeandcanoftenmakeoutsideairinstallationmoredifficult.
4. WallConstruction–Locatingthestovesothattheexhaustsystemcanpass
betweenstudswillsimplifytheinstallationandeliminatetheneedtoreframe
anysectionsofthewalltoaccommodatethewallthimble.
