Load and Solar Circuit Control using IQ System Controller Auxiliary Contacts

Using the IQ Load Controller for load shedding

The Enphase IQ Load Controller, when used in conjunction with the IQ System Controller smart switch,

enables control of up to 2 loads or shedding of up to two solar circuits when operating in an off-grid mode

with the Enphase energy management system. To install the IQ Load Controller, read and follow all

warnings and instructions mentioned in the QIG provide with the product. Safety warnings are listed on

the back of the QIG. If you do not fully understand any of the concepts, terminology, or hazards outlined

in the instructions, refer installation to a qualified electrician or installer. These instructions are not meant

to be a complete explanation of a renewable energy system. All installations must comply with national

and local electrical codes. Professional installation is recommended.

As shown in the diagram above, the IQ Load Controller can be used for shedding loads of up to 36A

running at 240Vac connected to a 45A breaker. It can also be used for shedding a 32A branch circuit

connected to a 40A breaker. Follow all the instructions in the QIG provided with the product to setup load

shedding on a site.
