Ensto Cubo enclosures in more detail
The enclosure cover can be transparent,
so that the status of the equipment inside
is easy to monitor. With thermoplastic
enclosures, the whole cover is either grey
or transparent. Grey covers are available
in both ABS and polycarbonate.
Transparent covers are available with
polycarbonate. Ensto ABS enclosures can
be equipped with a polycarbonate win-
dow. Modular enclosures come with a
hinged window available in either smoke-
grey or transparent color.
Enclosure covers
The material thickness of our thermoplas-
tic enclosures is greater than that of simi-
lar products on the market. This aids in
the machining of threads. In addition, the
use of, for instance, push buttons on the
cover is safer, since the material is more
rigid.
The bases of polycarbonate enclosures
with knockouts have been reinforced with
breglass in order to add rigidity to the
enclosure walls and to make it easier to
knock out the cable entries.
We have a modular tooling structure
that enables cost-ecient mold modica-
tions. This proves especially ecient when
creating customer-specic holes and cut-
outs in a large series of enclosures.
Enclosure walls
We use injected, jointless PUR (polyure-
thane) gaskets in our thermoplastic, polyes-
ter and aluminium enclosures, to ensure a
high protection class. Some enclosures are
available with silicone gaskets, on request.
The temperature-resistance of the
various gasket materials is as follows:
Polyurethane -40 °C... +80 °C
Chloroprene (CR) -40 °C... +110 °C
Silicone -60 °C... +200 °C
